The following review * is how i once felt about Constitution marsh..... Unfortunately, i can no longer gain access to the trail on a regular basis- why you ask? because they took away the parking spaces. ???why this was done, you ask??? most likely at the request of the very fortunate folks who are lucky enough to live there.
as an avid bird enthusiast and a donating member of Audubon- i am very disappointed.
this is not an easy location for people to hike too if you are not an avid hiker. the hill one must traverse in order to get to the trails is no easy task.
it is ironic that the "constitution" marsh has been taken away from anyone who is disabled or unable to walk .
*this place is great IF you are lucky enough to get one of only a few legal parking spots. but- as luck would have it- i was fortunate and so walked down the steep paved hill to the marsh trail. short hike with one or two steeper parts- but a walking stick did the trick and i enjoyed myself very much. did not see much wild life but a very scenic spot for photography and bird enthusiasts as it is a national Audubon...
Read moreThe marsh is gorgeous as well as the waterfall. The fall back to the spot is there's eight parking spots in which no one parks the appropriately. That leaves five parking spots for anyone visiting the spot. One of the homeowners on the corner has complained to police many times over the amount of parking due to the popularity of the space. Unfortunately that leaves very limited parking. If you visit in the warm weather you will have to wait to park. We haven't gone this year because of this issue which is a shame because it's a such a beautiful spot. It's really unfortunate that they don't allow cars down to the nature center where there could be more parking. Hopefully private homeowners in the area can help resolve this problem and come up with some alternatives. a family that sets out to go on an adventure but then has to wait an hour for parking has a real hard time enjoying the space. I would love continuing to shame people who have complained to the police about parking but I'm going to...
Read moreI tried visiting in early July. Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find the entrance. I read on their official website that one way to access the Marsh and trails is to pay $14 dollars to park in nearby Boboscel Home and Garden's lot and then hike one mile down to the marsh. I did that. I followed the signs that said, "This way to Constitution Marsh". I hike 1.25ish miles down a steep hill only to see a sign that said, "No access to Constitution Marsh". I then proceeded to read online that you may need to take an Uber to the entrance because you can't park near the gate due to nearby residences. Ridiculous! I asked one woman for help with parking in the area and she was incredibly rude. Finally, I asked another young local family for help accessing the marsh, and they said, "We've been trying for two years to find out how to get in that place". DON'T...
