Kevin McCurdy's Haunted Mansion — Attraction in Town of Poughkeepsie

UPDATED READ ALL* This is one of the worse years that I have been 2. The inside was the same as last year just with a few minor changes. The reason I have it a 2 star rating and not a 1 star is bc the actors were good but they need better direction. I would say this if you spent some of the money that was made on the Mansion and updating it you could bring this place back to its original glory. I hope this is takin and applied bc I loved this place and it's sad to see it go down hill like this. I will be back next year but if nothing changes next year will be my last. Side note Kevin don't take what I'm saying to harshly this review is only to hopefully make you focus on the changes that need to be made. Hopefully you make it great again bc I have been going to your place for years...

The Haunted Mansion was a fun and not too scary experience for myself and my 11 year old granddaughter! We had a blast! The reason for my two star review, is the fact that you are forced to pay exorbitant fees in order to get tickets to get in. Although it advertises $34.95 up to $39.95, the reality is that there is over an $11 surcharge! That is higher than Ticketmaster or any other ticket buying website on the internet!!!!!! When I went to go buy the tickets in person I was told that it is not allowed that you are forced to pay all of that money in order to get in. Which brought it close to $50 each! Someone is making money on this, and I doubt that it is actually Kevin McCurdy. These fees have turned a lot of people off of going. They need to find a cheaper better solution for this. Ergo back to allowing people to purchase the tickets there. You are stuck with all of those fees, which does not seem like a good way to...

Thanks to my pal Frank I received the opportunity to work inside the "Music Electro Therapy Room" at Kevin Mccurdys Haunted Mansion the weekend of the 14th-15th this 2023 Halloween Season and I had a blast doing so!!! The staff was super friendly and professional. Kevin himself is such a kind, generous and thoughtful man. My friends and I also had the pleasure walking through the Haunted House twice this year and we had such a SPOOKTACULAR time!!! His crew really puts so much thought and effort into making it a memorable experience. I LOVED the outside Clown and Western attractions. The props, lighting, actors/actresses, makeup and animatronics were AMAZING!!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience Kevin.
