I came to Belleayre Lake with my family expecting a fun and relaxing vacation, but instead we were met with extremely rude and unprofessional staff. They treated us with zero respect and made the entire experience stressful instead of enjoyable.

The worst part was when the supervisor with the blonde hair refused to let us go paddle boating, claiming my daughter didn’t meet the weight requirement—even after I proved otherwise. Her attitude was dismissive and downright unpleasant. Rather than creating a welcoming environment, she seemed determined to make things difficult.

For a place that should be family-friendly, this was one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had. We will not be coming back, and I would strongly caution other families to think twice before wasting their time...

Cute little "beach" to cool off in during those hot summer Catskill dayz. Pricey for 3 people ($20 for 1 adult and 2 small children ages 4 & 2). Small playground...clean bathrooms. Several picnic tables close to "shore" and a couple of BBQ's available for use. Boat rentals looked great and they provide life jackets and puddle jumpers if needed. They also have beach toys available for use as well. Their Snack Shack is terrible. Needs MAJOR menu upgrades. Very poor food selections (mostly bagged chips and hot dogs were $5 which were gross). Strongly recommend packing a cooler with lunch and beverages from home. They are open 6 days a week closed Tuesdays Overall my...

It’s pretty ok, $20 to enter, not a huge lake, perfect for families with kids of various ages as you can play with the little ones on the beach while the older kids can canoe or do the paddle boat. Clean Facilities and shade trees with picnic tables. I’m not sure what keeps this from being 5 stars. Maybe bc everytime I’ve gone the staff has been sour. Not sure what management is like, but those people don’t seem happy. I’m not expecting a red carpet rolled out, but you can tell when people desperately hate a job and it can sometimes cast a pall over...

Beautiful small swimming oasis in the area. The grounds were well kept which was great. The sand is not really sand and is a bit rough. The water was clean. There was a snack stand and rentals (didn’t use either) but good to know that they have food but you can bring your own. Not much shade and zero breeze which shortened our stay with a young toddler. Lifeguards are a bit intense. My baby was playing in the sand near the shoreline and the lifeguard had us move over in case he had to do an emergency save in knee deep water. Overall, it was a nice time.

Beautiful lake and scenery. Although small, it has everything you need! Took my girls 3 and 5 there for an hour to play in the sand and the water. Was expensive $20 a car for the day but we all had a great time. Was clean and a good time. Would go back again if we are in the area!

This is a great place to visit. Parking is $15. Which is a bit expensive. The staff is quite nice. On hot days it can get very crowded. It’s a good place to just enjoy the outdoors, bbq and swimming.
