We came here for a family fall weekend with our family of 3, as we do every fall, and this might be the favorite place we have ever stayed in the Catskills. Every member of the family was delighted and we found our cabin so cozy that we spent lazy mornings just reading and having coffee and tea and enjoying ourselves. The cabin was squeaky clean and had everything we needed for a comfy stay--from plenty of fresh towels to a tea kettle and coffee set up. The property is lovely and we had a nice nature walk on the trail provided and maintained nicely by the property. When we arrived, we found a lovely roaring fire in the firepit and marshmallows and sticks provided free of charge for toasting. We also used the spa which was clean and lovely to warm up in on a crisp fall night. Matty, the proprietor, took such good care of us and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. |Both my partner and I remarked that this spot had all the benefits of a hotel (but with a nice functional kitchen) with none of the downsides of an Airbnb (no elaborate check out process--we simply packed up and walked out :) We found cabin 4A to be absolutely charming but keep in mind that it is not the most private of the cabins due to the fact that it has many windows and faces the public/firepit space. However, we also found that it gets good light for this reason and we had a lovely view of the roaring fire pit at night--and with only a handful of cabins, it's not as though we ever saw more than a few people. |When we left, our five year old said: "I miss our cozy cabin." We agree! We definitely plan to...
Read moreIf you’re ever anywhere near Woodstock or Pine Hill, New York—whether for a music festival like Mountain Jam or just a peaceful Catskills escape—stay at Bel Air Lodge and Cabins. Just do it.
I recently spent four unforgettable days there with an extended crew of about 25 friends, and I can honestly say the experience was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, Gigi and Angel (the incredible owners) and Matty (the world’s most attentive manager/fixer/hype man) made us feel completely taken care of. Like family, but the kind that lights the campfire, and somehow knows exactly what you need before you do. 🫶🏻
Every room was clean, cozy, and uniquely styled—classic Catskills vibes with a touch of charm. The cabins are all tucked closely together, creating the perfect setup for community. Each night, we gathered around the central campfire to roast marshmallows, tell stories, and jam with friends under the stars. It felt like grown-up sleepaway camp in the best way.
And then there’s breakfast. Their weekend breakfast is a must. I’m still dreaming about those blueberry pancakes—fluffy, golden, packed with berries inside and out. Easily in my top five of all time. The egg sandwiches were next-level too. Everything was made with care, and served with a smile.
They even have a rec room with a pool table if you need a break from the hiking, the music, or just want to channel your inner kid.
This place is all heart. Whether you’re headed upstate for a concert, a nature getaway, or just a change of pace, Bellearye Lodge and Cabins is the kind of place that turns a weekend into a memory. I can’t...
Read moreWe stayed here with a Boy Scout troop and their families for a weekend of skiing at Belleayre. It was perfectly located, just a 5 min drive to the mountain. Plattekill is 25 minutes. The property has a collection of cabins, fire pit, jacuzzi and game room/dining area where they have a pool table, air hockey etc and serve breakfast and dinner. The food was great with several choices being offered. The place is rustic, and has a cool, funky vibe. The ambience and esthetic are very chill. Every cabin has been renovated and is well supplied in terms of towels and if there is a kitchen, anything you'd need to make a simple easy meal. Accommodations are simple, with a nod towards modern living and a dash of funky eclectic that makes you realize these people have a vision and it's being well executed. The best part are the owners - Brian, Gigi and Angel. New Yorkers transplanted in the Catskills, they are lovely, warm and welcoming - as well as very involved in the community. The pride they share in the work they've done on the Belleayre Lodge, as well as planned projects in the Pine Hill community, are palpable and it shows in the property. I highly recommend staying here and can't imagine you'd find as comfortable a spot, as well as cool,...
