Advanced Computer Repair — Attraction in Town of Somers

Easy 5 stars for professionalism and ability.

Decided to make the trek from Mt. Kisco, where I live, to Somers based on all the other 5 star reviews and was not disappointed.

Called the day prior to establish what he would require, got straight forward directions and a welcoming invitation to swing on by. Stopped by day of, and was talked through much of what was likely the issue and some other interesting points.

I confidently left my PC tower with Chris, the gentleman who also instructed me the day prior, and received a phone call within a couple hours telling me it was all set and offering me an upgrade at an incredibly respectable price.

I very much appreciate good customer service, but ultimately, a job well done is what`s most important, and thankfully, I did not have to compromise at all here.

My Macbook wasn't charging properly and I had a sticky key. Brought it to Apple Store in Danbury. They had it for five days, then told me they would have to send it to repair facility. Minimum charge $800. I took it back and found Advanced Computer Repair near me in Somers. I stopped by. The repair person looked at the USB-C socket (used for charging on new MacBooks) and removed what looked like a small seed that had been blocking the connector. Then he worked on the sticky key. Everything fixed perfectly in less than five minutes. So, I probably don't have to tell you that this place gets my unqualified...

Chris does a great job at a reasonable price and with friendly service. My desktop was not booting or was booting but then not performing properly. I had tried all sorts of restores with no real fix. He tested the hard drive and memory and confirmed they were OK and then went on to figure out that McAfee was half on and half off, screwing everything up. It couldn't be uninstalled from within the computer itself, but he used an external program to kill it and then install more friendly anti-virus software. Also cleaned up some bloat...
