They're back! The bugs, fishies, turtles, snakes frogs and salamanders are back. My toddler had so much fun this morning with the crew at the museum. The visit had some built in features to help us (me...my nearly 3 y/o doesn't care) feel safe, like a temperature check upon arrival, small group viewings, limited touching, plenty of hand sanitizer and a few other minor but helpful rules that, I promise, won't hinder your visit. My daughter has always loved the touch-tank downstairs, and unfortunately that wasn't an option today (for obvious reasons), but there are a couple of new, extra special exhibits that were equally fun for the kids (including big kids, like me). Read moreA nice, little museum right across the street from the Children's Museum of the East End. It has exhibits of local flora & fauna, some are alive & some are stuffed. So, it's kind of like part museum with non-living displays of local ecosystems, and part aquarium with living insects, reptiles & amphibians from the local area. They even have a small touch pool with crabs, starfish, etc. The staff was very knowledgeable & so nice. They have an outdoor trail walk that looks great, too but the rain started before we could do that. We're planning on going back for that on a nicer day. Highly recommend you stop here if you're out that way. It's definitely worth your time to support this...
