We tried. Four times. We walked out tonight. Enough is enough with the hostess and her power plays. We had a 5:15 reservation. I requested a booth. All of them were set for 4 people. The hostess once again refused to give us a booth… last time we sat on those ridiculously cold, hard chairs the entire time and looked at the empty booths ahe refused to let us sit in. They were empty the entire time until we left. Tonight - she offered me a stupid pillow to sit on - one so large you would topple off- an outdoor throw pillow. I have a medical condition - I even travel with my own pillow. I tredged out to the car - through the EMPTY restaurant to retrieve my own pillow. I even told the hostess about my back and she refused to accomadate. I went to the car brought in my pillow and tried to make it work. Only one other table was in the restaurant. They tried to sit us at a four top and all the booths were set for four - we were three people. Our neighbors stopped coming here… saying they just dont appreciate them or accommodate. That for the experience they are overpriced. We are done as well and its a shame. Hire a real hotess - that is able to be flexible and withold an attitude. The serving staff has always been nice but the real servers end up working at other long lasting Bridgehampton restaurants. Really quite a shame.. we gave this place multiple shots and again the hostess resfused to acknowledge or assist with a medical condition. My pillow which is a proper chair pillow vs a throw pillow which I was offered didnt fit on the tiny, cold, metal chair. I remember when the owners opened they were present and involved and full of hope. May as well throw the towel in now if this is how you are starting the season. This has now happened twice… the food was not consistant in the past. Sometimes it was good, other times not. Either way… now I can officially say we will not return. This place is going to have to learn how to survive off of very hungry day trippers that cant get in anywhere else. ...
Read moreGrandma portions, I won’t soon forget this phrase.. This was used to explain portion sizes for this very expensive menu.. The food is disappointing and well, my grandma would be sad to be associated with this portion size,, Better if you don’t try to justify this price……. The exterior dining area is marvelous, the inside has an odor that is not very attractive.. extremely loud.. Gladden my party choose outside,,,, The interior graffiti design representing “old style NY Italian” is odd, that old NY Italian neighborhoods were the only ones not graffitied,,,,,As this was a testament to their Class, Style and self respect,,, it represented their toughness to keep their neighborhoods safe and clean…….. Anyway I was excited and had high hopes when I entered, thought may not think that now, The pasta fussilli alla limon with burrata, (note no mention of garlic) has teaspoon sized globs of pressed baked garlic strewn around the pasta.. The intense and abundant serving of garlic overwhelms both the buratta and the limon fussilli… The end result can only be described as a taste that almost resembles feet…. They removed it from the check. The baked clams were clams covered with dried breadcrumbs, u won’t order it twice,
This menu and its execution needs a lot of work, very disappointing….
Very sad to write this, but it is almost insulting to be charged at the upper spectrum for a product and to be served something so inferior….The calamari was unremarkable, tiny portion, simple presentation, lightly coated in flour, about1/2 the size of a reg appetizer anywhere else,,,
Theres more, but u...
Read moreWhere do I begin. Our party sat at the bar, and we were ready to eat the great itialian food we had heard so much about. The appetizers came out quick with about a pound of Parmesan, which we did not realize would come with the apps. For the mains we asked the staff if the pastas and chicken could have parm on the side. He did not understand the modification, and said that they can’t do it. Finally he agreed that no parm would be added. 30 minutes later, the pastas and both chicken parms came out with Parmesan. Our server realized the issue and sent it back. The owner started berating our server glaring at us and told us our food without parm would come 15 minutes later. Our pasta came without parm and it was fine. 20 minutes later our vodka chicken Parmesan came out of the kitchen, the owner looked at our party whispered to our server “they will eat it” and he brought it over( they also forgot our other pasta). At this point we were so over the restaurant we took the vodka parm (tasted like peanut butter) and asked for our check. The staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was great. I have eaten at many restaurants in my life, and the customer should always be right - especially with such an easy modification. It is quite sad when an owner of a restaurant glares and laughs at a group for spending money, buying drinks, and ready to enjoy a great meal. We will never go to this restaurant again, and make sure to never go to the other locations as well. Really sad, hopefully he...
