I recently visited Lavender by the Bay on Long Island and I was absolutely enchanted by the experience. This beautiful lavender farm is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives. From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was greeted by the most heavenly aroma of lavender that instantly transported me to a serene and tranquil state of mind.
The fields of lavender were a sight to behold, with rows upon rows of vibrant purple flowers stretching as far as the eye could see. It was a photographer's dream come true, and I couldn't resist capturing the picturesque scenery with my camera. The lavender fields provided the perfect backdrop for stunning photographs and peaceful walks.
The staff at Lavender by the Bay were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. They shared insightful information about lavender cultivation and its many uses, making the visit educational as well as enjoyable. I also had the opportunity to purchase a variety of lavender products, including essential oils, soaps, and dried lavender bundles, all of which were of exceptional quality.
One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the aromatic gift shop, where I discovered a wide range of lavender-infused products. From culinary delights like lavender honey and teas to luxurious skincare items, the shop had something for everyone. The scent of lavender permeated the air, creating a truly immersive experience.
What truly sets Lavender by the Bay apart is its serene and idyllic atmosphere. Walking through the fields, surrounded by the gentle buzz of bees and the calming scent of lavender, was an incredibly soothing and meditative experience. It was a welcomed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I highly recommend visiting Lavender by the Bay on Long Island to anyone seeking a unique and enchanting experience. Whether you're a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply in need of a peaceful retreat, this lavender farm will exceed your expectations. It's a slice of heaven tucked away on Long Island, and I can't wait to return for another...
Read moreUsually I am the first one to praise individuals and good service, regretfully Lavander by the Bay didn't give me many reasons to do so.
The place is much smaller than advertised, entry fee is $8 just to walk around.
Customer service is very disappointing, I came in with 2 cameras, one with shorter lens, one with a longer one. The lady asked me if the camera with longer lens is a professional camera? By her questioning I knew right away that she is illiterate in photography, because both cameras are professional. I said 'yes', and I had to leave that camera in the car, I was supposed to get a permission paid on their website! I mean, never in my wildest dreams would I be able to imagine to need permission and insurance to take pictures of lavender! I have visited much more relevant and significant places than a lavander field and didn't need any of those!
Walking along lavender fields was beautiful but the whole experience was overshadowed with cold and unfriendly customer service.
Not to mention their gift shop that is ridiculously overpriced even for the high society of our East End Long Island.
The $8 fee is not worth the visit, just because of the bad customer service, there should be no fee whatsoever! It is simply disrespectful for a customer to be treated in such ill manner and to have such high prices in the gift shop. I do not...
Read moreWhoa, I have to be honest, my experience here was clearly VERY different than most of the others. My friend from L.I. told me about this place, and that was the reason we went. Had I looked it up here first, I can't say I would have wanted to go. REALLY glad I didn't do that because this place is freakin' amazing! It's simply stunning, and incredibly peaceful. I was greeted by the owner, who was very friendly and charming, with a lovely french accent! He welcomed me and my friends and explained that we could spend 30 mins. in the field if we would make a purchase of $8 in the store. Judging by the other reviews, I'm guessing this is a new policy... I was a little worried that 30 mins. wasn't going to be enough time, but as it turned out, it was more than enough time to take everything in. Now, if there was a hammock, that would be a different story...
The store was very cute with everything lavender you could possibly imagine. Very fun to look around. I ended up going with some lavender soap and a few sachets. I'm kind of obsessed with the exfoliating soap, and am a bit territorial of it when my boyfriend tries to use it. I definitely want to go back to take more pics and show other friends. I've never seen anything quite like it. Saved me a...
