Until recently, no one came close to Sep’s. Best produce, best prices, great family run business. Bought the BEST tomatoes on the east end there. Mid season, the familiar faces were gone and so did the great service and produce. My gripe is with their cases of tomatoes. For years we were able to adjust boxes (meaning swap out bad tomatoes) or “top off” the case. This year however, there was a $5 upcharge (anytime they felt like charging it, depending on who was working that day) which is fine because I get it, prices change but be consistent. Also the case is “as is” which means I now have to wonder how many rotten tomatoes I’m gifted with. Only to be told quite rudely “if you don’t like it, don’t buy it” Where are the sisters who ran this farm exceptionally?? So disappointing. Read moreMy 62-year-old wife and I visited Sep's while on vacation this weekend and she fondly remembered this place from age 10 when her family used to visit relatives here. Unfortunately the stand now is nothing like she remembered. There was hardly any produce available, and what WAS there was nothing out of the ordinary that you couldn't get anywhere else, like at the market. Other things are a COMPLETE rip off, for example... $22 for a PINT of their ice cream??? Also, four eggs for $6??? Hope those come from hens that lay...
