Southold Free Library — Attraction in Town of Southold

This is undoubtedly, the best public library on the East End of Long Island - new titles are available on a consistent basis and the staff will find for you whatever you are looking for. Books are not the only thing to get here, but you can fishing rods and even a telescope! The library hosts a series of events, exhibits, book readings and events for children and families. What makes this place so magical is the staff made of professionals and volunteers that are pleasant to interact with and always in a good disposition to assist you. And certainly don't miss the annex if you visit on a Wednesday or Saturday where you can get bargain books, CDs, audio books and movies. All proceeds benefit...

Not a balanced unbiased institution

Plenty of democratic liberal books on prominent display but not a single conservative publication noticed in today's visit....as a taxpayer supported institution there needs to be balance in its manner and operation.

Time to balance the displays to ALL...
