I would not recommend going here if you have food allergies or at all in general. I had a very bizarre experience while going out with a group of friends. I cannot eat any gluten or dairy, and read online that there were options for "all dietary restrictions" so it felt like a safe choice, but the staff were extremely rude and unknowledgeable about food allergies. I ordered a house salad with grilled chicken and asked a couple of questions to make sure there was not going to be any cross contamination or possible miscommunication about ingredients. I was met with very snarky remarks including asking how I am even able to eat out anywhere and that the chefs in the kitchen won't understand how to make those accommodations. As if lettuce, cucumbers, and grilled chicken with oil and vinegar is an insurmountable request. If the chefs are unable to process and execute something so simple that seems to be a larger issue that needs to be addressed by management. Many people in the world have allergies to many different types of foods, yes there is always a risk when dining out. However, many places are happy to accommodate to allergies on the east end, especially without rude remarks to their customers. I have never experienced anything like that before in all of my years safely dining across Long Island and the rest of the country. The food itself was very underwhelming. There were 4 pieces of grilled chicken and 4 slices of cucumber atop a bed of lettuce for nearly $25. They also included a piece of bread wrapped in tin foil despite my very clear communication that I cannot consume bread due to an allergy, which was honestly quite funny at that point. The food itself was "safe" I didn't have any flare ups, despite the employees lack of confidence in their kitchen staff. Again, I would not reccomend the potential risk of dining here and the disrespectful remarks were uncalled for. Very sad to experience....

Food quality and portions good as always. Prices have risen since Covid, but ate there on 2/1/22 for a friends Birthday dinner. Wait staff was great and food came out timely and hot. BUT, when we were finished with the meal the waitress brought the check and I inserted my Credit Card in the folder. When the Card and the credit slip were returned to the table to my surprise the total was different (More) than the original ticket. When I questioned the waitress she pointed to the credit card slip and it said " If you are paying with credit then this is the price you pay!!!! the waitress said that was the new policy and the increase for credit was approx. 2.9%. The credit slip also said we would appreciate it if you would pay the tip in CA$H. Now this was not the waitresses fault but there was no sign saying CC payment was a higher price either when you walked in or on the menu. So when your bill is $180.00 (cash) how would you know that ahead of time to bring cash. Insulting at the least to AMBUSH your patrons. You have already increased your prices and now you want them to subsidize your business costs. Wonder if all those CASH sales including taxes are being reported to the county and state???? This is becoming an all too common practice by all kinds of businesses. Next they will be installing their own...
Read moreNot quite the original. The food was decent, I'd forgive a lot more if not for the near-nonverbal zoomer boy who works at the register. I couldn't tell if he was extremely rude or Neuro divergent. He seemed "normal", week groomed and dressed decently, so I'm inclined to believe he's just sullen, surly, and lacking in social skills. For example, I asked him where the napkins were and he wordlessly pointed to it and gave me a look like I was the biggest idiot in the world. Even if it was a stupid question, you're not supposed to let on about that.
He must be someone's son, I can't imagine how else he'd keep his job. Other workers were normal, which is why I gave the service two stars rather than one. I'm usually not someone who gives workers a hard time, and I didn't at the time.
In the winter in southold every restaurant shuts down, so I was going for lunch almost daily in the time I was back in town, and he was so consistently rude it seriously put me in a bad mood for a while after each visit. Hate that kid, I don't know how he has the aesthetics of a cool kid from my generation and the social skills of the least popular nerd in my graduating class. Seemingly could not make...
