Ambiance (4/5): The restaurant is located behind North Fork Roasting Co. which had live music performing on a Saturday. Due to our party size and our dog, we sat outside near the back parking, which had abandoned-looking seating (broken, dirty, etc.). However, it was shaded and you could hear the music next door. There's also 3 two-person tables near the entrance outside around the corner. The inside is retro and feels like you're dining inside a cozy house and an ice cream bar (Hershey's brand). It felt bustling as a standard diner on a weekend. Service (5/5): When we were walking toward the exterior back, the people outside near side entrance, had warned us that the service was abysmal. We loitered near the corner to let the waitress know we were wanting to get seated in the back (basically away from sight). Once seated, she came back and wiped down the dirty tables (which I'm sure no one usually opts to sit at due to their state). We immediately placed our orders before she went away. I think by doing so, our food came out lightning fast. She also came to check in on us twice throughout our dining. Sausage & Cheddar Flatbread Scramble (3/5): Expect an omelet on a piece of flatbread. The bread did not taste very good (perhaps store bought?) The home fries were deliciously crunchy. Breakfast Burrito (3/5): Nothing really stood out about the burrito. Croissant French toast (3/5): I liked how it wasn't too sweet with the filled cream but it felt like it was missing something. The addition of the table maple syrup definitely helped. I think next time, I would opt for the regular...

Country Corner Café is a charming eatery that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a casual dining experience. Known for its comfort food, the café features a menu filled with hearty options like homemade biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, and various breakfast items served all day. The quality of the food is notable, with many dishes made from scratch, which enhances the overall freshness and flavor. Portions are generous, providing good value for the price. Service is typically friendly and attentive, contributing to a relaxed dining environment where customers feel at home. The café’s décor often reflects a cozy, down-to-earth style that adds to its appeal. Overall, Country Corner Café is a reliable choice for those seeking traditional comfort food in a personable setting. Whether you are looking for a hearty breakfast or a satisfying lunch, it’s a place that can cater to a...

This place is a hit or a miss. Their breakfast game with serving is on point. Sometimes the servers seem annoyed when we come with a large group and it shows. Their menu is extensive with fried/comfort foods and the portions are big. The kids menu is good. We have been here for lunch as well and 2 times, the waitress addressed us with an attitude. One of the two times, she forgot one of our orders and I asked her to remove it, which she forgot. Luckily a male (I assume owner or manager), fixed the problem for us but not even an apology. It used to be our go to but not anymore. There are other places that have friendlier service. If you are visiting here for a weekend and its close by to where you are staying, go for it. The food is good but the service is what turns us off from coming. It also sucks that they dont have smoothies, yogurt for bfast, or fruit salad...

Despite the unassuming appearance of the Rueben, it was probably one of the better ones I’ve had in recent years. It did not come with thousand island, so I requested extra on the side. It was flavorful, and the corn beef was tender. Even without the thousand island, it wasn’t a dry sandwich to begin with. I was pleasantly surprised. We also ordered the Southold Burger which was insane. It was massive and messy, but it was a very good burger. A side of fries will run you up $5, but they’re solid. They needed extra salt but were hot and fresh. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic, and I don’t think you can go wrong here. Definitely would stop by again.

This is a great breakfast spot in an area that I feel is missing it. They’re very diverse in breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and also have a dairy dip for dessert. The corn beef hash is their highly touted dish, and while it was good, I don’t think it was spectacular. The pancakes were actually surprisingly great with low expectations. Coffee is typical diner coffee, but next door is a great coffee shop to visit if you’d like. Would come again, worth the visit.
