8 YEARS, and I have never seen it "too crowded" ... great place for family get togethers... Quiet, Low traffic, away from town, but "in town"... Lots of shade trees around. Our grandkids love the "lawn" and playground, lots of room to run around and have fun. Decent public restrooms, water fountains, grilling stations, Lots of picnic tables but plenty of space if you bring your own tables, chairs, Pak-n-play, etc. Two large pavilions are on the hill-side of the park. (6-8 picnic tables fit well in each) with electrical outlet(s). Trees, tables & grills on lower side. Plenty of parking, trash barrels, recycling bins.... And...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem. There is a hiking trail that leads up to the top that avoids the road and ends at a lookout point with a great Vista... The trail continues towards Griffin Park from there but if you take a break and enjoy the park there are two pavilions for groups and a little jungle gym in the middle as well as full facilities. This is a perfect out of the way place for a less crowded more intimate...
Read moreI have found Roundtop to be a very tranquil and calming place. The walk up there is good exercise and if I want a longer walk I'll take the trail to Grippon Park. Two things kept it from getting the fifth star. Mosquitoes and litter. The mosquitoes are really bad and a lot of lazy ignorant people can't seem to put their trash in the many garbage cans that are there. Still, it's a nice little...
