I don't know how many times we've driven past Wolcott Falls and not realized what this somewhat hidden park has to offer. The park is large enough to acommodate a large family or group gathering, and also provides a scenic setting with Wolcott Falls in the background. While the observation platform near the park entrance gives a nice but somewhat obscured view of the falls, a trail leading to the base of the falls provides a much better view and can be accessed near the rear of the park. The trail does have a slope, so proper footwear is needed. This park provides a large covered gazebo containing several picnic tables and cooking grills, as well as enough grassy open space for games and activities. There's even some playground equipment at the rear of the park to keep little kids entertained. Worth noting: this park has a carry in-carry out policy posted. There's limited parking near the entrance to the park, but I suspect that may be enough parking for this off the beaten path location. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Thanks...

My family and I frequently visit whenever we're in Wolcott and it's always a nice place to chill, eat lunch or dinner and let the kids play. There is a small playground with a Pavillion and tables and plenty of room to roam for pets and people of any age. There is a trail to the base of Wolcott falls but it can be steep and sometimes pretty muddy in some spots in the warmer months, so you must take caution. In the Winter if it gets cold enough the water will freeze and the Falls look absolutely beautiful. Next time you're in Wolcott take a little detour and enjoy the nature for a little bit. You won't be...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is a lovely in-town waterfall with a viewing platform right next to a large parking lot along Main Street / Old Ridge Road. Itโs only a two minute drive from Highway 104 as well. The viewing platform makes it super quick and easy to enjoy the falls without any hiking involved. There is a trail down into the ravine for an alternate view of the falls from the plunge pool area if you have the time and ability to do the hike. Donโt pass by Wolcott without stopping to check it out! This is directly on the famous...
