Loved visiting this park ever since I was young and saw the ownership transition from Baltimore City to County along with the changes that came with it. The scenery here is beautiful throughout the season and the trails are super accessible for most people. The Nature Center (with a restroom), picnic tables, gazebos, and playgrounds are nice additions to the park for a family-friendly outing. The park rangers are super helpful and nice to visitors of the park if you need directions to a trail or just answering general questions. Thereās lots to do at the park from hiking, visiting the dog park, photographing wildlife, and fishing on the lake. As far as fishing goes, you can catch bluegill, sunfish, crappie, largemouth bass, bullhead catfish and carp. Fishing here can be good at times and there are different species to catch year round. For being located right on the Baltimore City-County border this park has lots to offer as far as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn Thanksgiving day I went to this place for the first time. I would have gone to Cylburn Arboretum; it was closed for the holiday. This place is clean and very active. People arrived in groups. Some do not step to the side with their friends or dogs. I did see a couple of park rangers and cameras which made me feel safe. The parking was a little inconvenient. Cars are parked a little walking distance away from the active park area. Unless you have a handicap sticker on your car, please be prepared for that little walk. There was a trail gate near were I parked; but the gate was closed with a lock and "closed" sign. I did see a person walk under the trail gate. There was a small wood bridge that led to a light rail stop. Some people parked there and used that bridge for access to the park. I felt a little uncomfortable that day and the park was confusing. I will go back...

You pass a beautiful dam. The cars generally go slower since ppl are walking. 1 takes you to 2, no cars are allowed in that section. Go past the black gate, it fits a wide stroller. From there, there are 2 paths. A slightly uphill path (just 2 min uphill then it stablizes). Once up the hill, it's a nice little fully paved path. A small toddler park, a dog park, and great views. It circles around and you go back down path 3, which leads to 4. It's a bridge style path. It's about 0.5 miles there and back. Then you exit out 2 pathway. It leads to a "street" but stay to one side, not lots of traffic. We felt fine in the street. Then we walked back to our car.
The entire...
