This is a spectacular park repurposed and revamped from a small pond. Powered pavilions and public restrooms offer amenities for those looking for an outside venue to celebrate many occasions. The pond has differing types of fish to catch, pan fish, catfish, and carp mostly, but some have caught frogs and turtles also. The pond also has a fountain, walking trail, wooden seating, and two docks for handicapped access to fishing. There are a few grills close to the pavilions for cooking fresh food, and an ice cream store close to the location for those hot summer days. Located directly beside the Turtle Creek, it is a short climb down a hillside to access a stocked trout stream. Even though the property is being maintained well, there has historically been a flock of wild geese that brood in the adjoining marsh, causing the area to be spotted with their excrements. The location is also close to a freshly maintained walking and biking trail. This is a great pond to teach fishing, have family outings, take walks, and enjoy those sweltering...
Read moreThis is a beautiful Park. There are fish in the pond and plenty of people go fishing. There is a small fishing pier and benches on swings! Geese can usually be seen in or around the pond. There is a gravel trail circling the pond and some people use it to walk laps, however the gravel can be uncomfortable if you're wearing track shoes. There are picnic shelters surrounded by well tended grass that looks like a putting green on a golf course! Asphalt driveways lead from the parking lot to the picnic shelters. It is well landscaped with picturesque rocks strategically-placed around the area. The surrounding hills, the pond, the shelters and the whole scene is just beautiful. It's right next to the bicycle trail and there is plenty of parking. The facilities are clean and well-maintained and with indoor plumbing. You would be hard-pressed to find a nicer or...

The overpopulation of geese (mean geese) in addition to their droppings that cover the ground everywhere you go has been the main reason I’ve avoided going here. Despite that we make the trip because my two-year-old son loves playing around the pond. However, today was our last visit when I found him tangled in fishing line TWICE. The second time there was a rusty fish hook attached. This is a reoccurring issue. Two years ago we discovered a baby goose tangled in...
