Parkside Perk — Restaurant in Trafford

Tried this place for breakfast based on the incredible reviews. Service and atmosphere were top notch. Ordered a latte and the perk bagel sandwich with hardwood smoked bacon, substituted with a croissant. The latte was absolutely wonderful, and the croissant was incredibly delicious. However my sandwich came with only three 2" pieces of semi-cooked bacon. The bacon was so thin and there was so little of it that I actually did not taste it on my sandwich at all, and had to open it up to check and see if there was any. It was little upsetting to spend $6 on essentially a croissant with cheese. My coworker ordered the same sandwich, except with sausage and his was perfect. Maybe I came on a bad day, but would definitely revisit for pastries and coffee, but kindly pass on another sandwich. I would definitely encourage others to try this place out for the croissant alone, super buttery and flakey, probably one of the best...

When I saw there was a coffee shop opening so close to me I was SO excited. Unfortunately, as with almost every food/drink place in this area, it's your typical cheap coffee shop with pump syrups and mass produced breakfast/pastry options. The staff are the nicest people you will ever meet, which is the main reason I go here. The coffee is okay... I only drink the black coffee, and it is good about 75% of the time. Other times it tastes burnt. I was hoping they would really revamp this place once the sandwich shop that used to be here closed and make an actual special, niche shop, with healthy, whole food and premium coffee. Sadly that did not happen. There are also very few places to sit, and basically no ventilation, so when they are cooking something greasy the smoke fills the entire area and is rather suffocating. When I realized the Cafe opened at 6:30 - perfect timing for my early morning commute - I had to try it, and I'm so glad I did! The lady at the drive thru window was so quick and nice. I got the Cali bagel sandwich and it was delicious and satisfying. Even just the bagel itself was a standout - flavorful and fresh. I also got their seasonal gingerbread Chai tea latte and it was lovely. I'll definitely be stopping by again to try more coffees even when I don't need breakfast!...
