recently visited Bud Bandit, a cannabis shop on South Broad Street in Trenton, NJ, after not being there for quite some time since it first opened. I wanted to check out their inventory and prices, but my experience left me with some serious concerns.
When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the staff, which seemed friendly at first. The girl behind the counter asked for my ID, as expected. However, when I reached into my pocket to hand it over, she told me I needed to scan a QR code instead. This was confusing, and I asked her how scanning a QR code would verify my identity or age. Her response was simply, “This is how we do it.”
I had my ID in hand and offered to show it, but she wouldn’t even look at it. The whole process felt unnecessary and shady. In every other dispensary I’ve been to, including Zen Leaf where I use their app for promotions, showing a physical ID has always been sufficient.
I left feeling uneasy about the QR code policy. It doesn’t make sense to me why a cannabis shop needs to collect data from my phone rather than just checking my ID. It left me questioning their priorities—are they selling cannabis or collecting data? My advice: don’t blindly trust or scan QR codes just because a place says it’s...
Read moreAs many know, I have written for VAPUN magazine and also had articles printed in The local Courier News and Star Ledger. I Found the staff to be very friendly. I drove 1 hour to this location to see amazing products available. This for sure is a special place. To explain in words .. Just stop in. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE must be experienced by you...the consumer. I loved it. Easy to find and they have what you are looking for. Some people that leave bad reviews must be tripping...for those that actually know what they are looking for..then you will know Tripping at its best! Besides they have a really cool Van Parked right in Front of place..You can't miss it. It's bright and designed beautifully. So I give it my most HIGH rating. IT definitely causes no pain just to stop in. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They carry hard to find items..and Just in case, they have ATM machines inside. They carry special drinks not usually stocked at other locations. Well done..with the customer in mind.. the customer is #1, so is their customer service! Pictured is one of their cool shirts I purchased! I did not take pictures there but they already have many here on Google....
Read moreWent on my way home from work, around 5:15 in the evening. Was rung up by a very wonderful gentleman, but the cart I purchased was a dud when I tried to use it after I got home. I went back the next day to see if I could exchange the cart or at least get my money back because the cart didn't work and a different employee pointed to the sign that said to check the carts before leaving. How was I supposed to check the cart if I didn't have a battery on me at the time of purchase, I asked him and he just said again that they don't do exchanges. So how I am supposed to check to see if the cart works before I leave the store, (buy a battery too? I for sure didn't need the extra purchase!) with no battery, and then what, be high in public and get into my car and drive home? High? The prerolls were fine, but I would never get carts from here, probably won't step foot in there again because they essentially took $35 from me and didn't try to make it right. Very...
