I had a great time watching Timber Tina's Great Maine Lumberjack Show in Ellsworth, Maine. It was a fun and entertaining way to learn about the history and skills of lumberjacks in Maine. The show featured 12 different events, such as axe throwing, log rolling, underhand chopping, power hot sawing, obstacle pole relay, crosscut sawing, and pole climbing. The performers were very talented and friendly, and they explained each event and how it related to lumbering in Maine.
One of the highlights of the show was the kids intermission show, where they got to saw a log with a crosscut saw. It was very cute and interactive, and the kids seemed to enjoy it a lot. Another highlight was the saw races, where the performers competed with different types of saws, such as chainsaws, hot saws, and bow saws. The speed and precision of the saws were impressive, and the sound was exhilarating.
The show also had a red team vs green team challenge, where the audience was divided into two groups and cheered for their respective teams. The teams competed in various events, such as log rolling, obstacle pole relay, and pole climbing. The challenge was very exciting and engaging, and the audience participation added to the fun. The show ended with a friendly handshake between the teams and a group photo with the audience.
Overall, I would recommend Timber Tina's Great Maine Lumberjack Show to anyone who is looking for a unique and enjoyable experience in Maine. It is suitable for all ages and backgrounds, and it showcases the culture and heritage of Maine's lumberjacks. The show is also very affordable and runs rain or shine. Read moreMy husband saw the “Great Maine Lumberjack show” sign while driving through and booked tickets for the show that night. They also sell merch such as t-shirts.
Ambiance: You will be sitting outside under a covered area (bleachers style). The bathrooms are located right outside the performance area. There is a snack bar selling food and bevs (chips, popcorn, and soda).
Show: The show is very kids friendly. I enjoyed it even without bringing children. Some of the jokes were corny and aimed towards kids FYI!
Kids Friendly: Timber Tina and her crew truly makes this show an unforgettable moment for children! The show pauses so that kids can safely get involved with some wood chopping activities with their lumberjack. At the end, they even get a little certificate that is signed by their favorite lumberjack to show that they are now a little lumberjack themselves! A lucky child will get to bring home their very own “rabbit” chair (shipping might be involved if you live out of states and did not drive).
Tickets: We bought online and they were slightly cheaper than buying...
