Trenton Jewelers — Attraction in Trenton

You are doing yourself an injustice if you don't at least get a second opinion or look at Trenton Jewelers during your shopping experience.

14 years ago I shopped for an engagement ring. Being in sales and covering SouthEast Michigan, I literally went to every jewelry store everywhere. Trenton Jewelers was far and away the best combination of - Best Price relative to Best Quality - GIA Diamonds - A Top MidWest Credentialed Jeweler/Owner - Best Service - Best Education (lots of variables to understand especially with Diamonds). I bought my wife's engagement ring here as they were hands down the best.

Recently I had to get my wife's ring reappraised for a new insurer. I live in Novi. Two chain jewelry stores each wanted $200 for an appraisal and had to schedule months out. One local smaller Jeweler wanted $75 and could do it immediately. I called Trenton Jewelers and decided it was worth the hour drive where they appraised and refinished (not cleaned, but refinished) my wife's ring for $45.

I know we all have friends who recommend a Jeweler and all that. But if you're shopping for any jewelry whatsoever, especially engagement, do yourself a favor and at least stop in at Trenton Jewelers. You will hands down get far more for your money. Keep it simple, find a diamond, GIA certified, take those specs around and have your other jewelers price it out. The difference...

I rarely need to venture into ANY jewelry store, as my soon to be wife isn't interested in new jewelry all the time. Both times I've needed something beautiful that would impress her & that should mean alot (engagement ring & birthday), I left very very happy!! Wayne himself helped me personally with an approx 2.8ct STUNNING hearts & arrows engagement ring! Most recently, & I'm so sorry I've forgotten her name (very pretty brown haired young lady), I was helped to purchase a beautiful white gold box chain necklace, along with matching white gold earrings, but with black diamond stones.

As a small business owner of Trojan Computers in Trenton myself, helping support other local businesses vs corporate stores always feels better to know I'm helping someone else like myself, but also & in my opinion, the level of personal care I receive makes all the difference in the world!!

Not an enormous selection as the store isn't huge, but because much of what they do is customized solely for each customer individually, it's perfect for everyone but those who have no vision of what they want, or perhaps those who may be extremely indecisive. Do yourself a favor & stop in to experience very professional, hospitable, lovely people who's sole purpose is to ensure your expectations are not just met...but exceeded!!

Ruined my wedding ring bands when having them resized. The white gold bands are uneven now, I brought this up and was told the bands were uneven when I brought them in. The sales asspciate went as far as to say they didnt even work on the bands themselves, when I raised my concern I was told staff got my rings confused with another customer. They then took my rings back and "fixed" them as the solder was sloppy. The bands are still uneven. My husband had a custom necklace made that looked like a child put it together. Extremely poorly done and soldered extremely sloppily. It cost 800$ to repair, the setting for the 2 diamond stones had to be completely rebuilt. You will never have my business again.

Edit: The owners response is completely untrue. I know exactly where I took my items, I dealt with Rose. See the picture below for the box my necklace came in. I am not mistaken. Further the nasty reply from the business speaks directly to the treatment I received. Myself and my partner made several purchases and repairs with Trenton Jewelers over the years. The custom necklace was purchased in 2022 or 2023, our last interaction with Trenton Jewelers. I will not be taking my review down as everything I have stated is true, you deserve the 1 star review. Its going to cost a significant amount to repair my wedding bands....
