Place is nice but the Librarians are some of the RUDEST PEOPLE IVE EVER MET!!!! I asked when I walked in if I was allowed to take a work meeting/zoom meeting the First Lady said yes you may this is were you go to do that so I did. However while in a meeting giving a response quietly I was tapped on the shoulder and told I can either leave or leave by a lady working the computers as she said I was talking loudly and disturbing the general public. Granted there’s a homeless person sleeping in the library snoring (and could hear him through my headphones) but IM THE PROBLEM! She then told me pick up my stuff and leave right away. My whole work meeting her the conversation and was shocked how rude she was to me. I was lied to from the start from the first librarian and to be humiliated by the second librarian was so uncalled for. Her tone of voice, not giving a warning was not ok and if that no zoom calls were posted anywhere I was not told or shown it. This incident has upset me so much because I enjoy library’s and my mother is a librarian so I completely understand the rules and respect the people around me but this lady had a power trip and wanted to grind a ax with me. I can tell you now I will be calling the Wayne county librarian system and voicing my complaints too! I truly will never step foot in this...

Edit to respond to their response: I do not misunderstand that you have a discriminatory policy that requires more documentation than the SOS. I am informing you that your policies are discriminatory and your staff is rude. Fix your issues or don’t, but it’s not my misunderstanding. It seems library issues won’t be on the ballot for awhile, but since you don’t seem to believe I live here, I’ll make sure to vote against the next time the millage comes up or any incumbent board members intends...
Read moreI personally love this library. The librarians are friendly and helpful, and the book selection is broad and diverse. Their computers are in plain sight and they also have an electronic checkout. This library is large, but I always feel at home. It's very quiet, and there are a lot of desks for anyone who may need to study or work on homework. There's also a kid's area with some computers and puzzles if your kids like that kind of thing. Side note, on May the 4th one year, one of the librarians was wearing an Ahsoka cosplay and to whoever that was, it looked great....
