I've been hiking, running, or fishing here for more than 40 trips around the sun. Now I take my grandchildren here to hike and explore. This is the perfect place to park your mind and just take in the serenity. I had all the same problems of a man with kids and bills in my late 20s and early 30s. Somehow after running the 6 mile gate to gate valley road, my thoughts and delemas would quietly sort themselves out in the back of my mind. Im sure I would have figured it out anyway, but it sure is nice to relinquish all the stress and thoughts of modern life and let nature wash over you, if only for an hour...

I have been coming to this park from 20 years. Great for walking, hiking and biking. There is a huge network of trails in this small park. There is something for ALL riders in this park. I just spent a great day introducing my 10 year old to real mountain biking. This park ties to both Old Mine Park AND Indian Ledge Park. At Indian Ledge there is a REAL BMX track, full sports complex , a large jungle gym and a splash pad. A family can spend a full day here easy. The splash pad is awesome at the end on a killer trail ride. The trails are awesome at night. One of the best places to be...

This is a great place. It's a long walk, but the scenery you see along the way is stunning. There is fishing allowed and the town stocks the stream. You could see the fish swimming from the walkway. I love going here with my friends and taking a long calming stroll. Watch out for the cyclists. They are rude and will fly right by you startling you. Some people say on your left/right to warn you but most don't. Trumbull itself is a nice place. This path is just as nice. Serene, peaceful and quiet I...

What can I say, I love this trail! If you buy a water suit you can easily find your way down to the river and walk up it. It's family friendly, clean, and a great way to burn some energy whilst catching up with a friend. There are many different entrances and it is wildly long! Each trail has color markers so that you can find your way back to the entrance you entered. I'd definitely recommend walking this trail at least once.

By and large our favorite place to explore in the Bridgeport, Trumbull area. You have the nice flat railroad bed walking/biking path on one side of this beautiful river and on the other your hiking/mountain biking trails. It’s a real gem and extends all the way to Indian Well Park. Nice parking lots on either end and plenty of access to river where you can sit and enjoy it up close.
