Highlands Center at Cape Cod National Seashore — Attraction in Truro

Visiting in Winter and for the first few days of my Visit there were a few inches of snow which was so strange to see in the dunes as I mostly come here in the summer but it was an extraordinary sight. Not so sure as to what constitutes the national seashore, but I have been biking in the morning before class around the dirt roads by Old King's Highway and usually stopping at one of the beaches by North Pamet road, or on Longnook absolutely beautiful in the winter but a little cold and windy so dress...

I biked here from Ptown in June 2015 to take photos and it was well worth the trip. The crumbling remains of the old Air Force base made good a subject. The place has its own atmosphere. I was alone the whole time and it sometimes felt mildly creepy, but in a good way. Super ocean views from the cliff as well. Looks like the place is being cleared up for other purposes now. The structures were awesome. The views were even better. Saw a bunch of seals, no sharks though. This is an awesome historical place lots to see if your into old military bases. You'll have to explore the majority of this base on foot though. However a lot of trails are paved and easy to get a stroller around on.
