Visited in June ‘18. Arrived early for second service. People were leaving from first service. People were arriving for second service. Lots of people were standing outside in the common areas chatting with one another. We stood around for awhile and then a few minutes later went into the sanctuary and sat down. We participated in the service and even hung out on a bench at the playground afterward for 15 minutes while our daughter played with a bunch of the church kids whose parents hung out a little ways away by the church building. By the time we got in the car to go, only one human being had spoken to me (besides the children’s workers) and he only said hi because it was the greet-one-another-break-time in the middle of service. Just reinforces my general perception of modern Christianity’s lack of love. We don’t know how to care. We don’t know how to get to know one another. We only know how to be indifferent.
