Walking in the building is nice enough. Kids area is clean and run by seemingly nice people. The service started off with some decent sounding music which we found out they wrote themselves.
However we will not be returning. They started off talking about donations and asking for 10% off the bat. Then their video screen played some interesting advertising for the church we were already sitting in. This and the souvenirs that were sitting in glass cases like we were at a concert, made me feel like this place was very phony.
The sermon was given on the screen (from a different campus apparently) by a guy that reminded us creepily of the Tiger King with his mannerisms and the way he spoke (not talking accents, Iâm talking brainwashing and only in it for a profit).
The message was very closed minded. They talked about the âonly truthâ which I have heard before but this included homophobia and transphobic messages. While I get the differing of opinion, I am not keen on exposing my children to that kind of hateful message. Not once did they mention âloveâ or âacceptance.â

Read moreAnother church that relies on intimidation tactics and violent rhetoric to push their form of hateful Christianity. This church turns nice people into insufferable idiots. Iâve seen it happen. They are proof that itâs easier to hate than it is to love. The practice truly lazy Christianity. If they focused on strengthening their personal relationship with Jesus and loving their neighbors through acts of charity rather than spending their time and money trying to intimidate others, then perhaps they would feel more of Godâs love in their life. The bible is full of contradictions and Christians, having accepted Christ, should follow his ultimate messageâlove your neighbor. Hey members of The Bridge âChristianâ Church, go work at a food kitchen or get on the streets and help the homeless in Tucson. That would be 100% more Christian. What others choose to do with their time or how other people want to raise their children is none of your business. We do not live in a Christian nation and itâs not your business to push your twisted...
Read moreI first visited The Bridge East Years ago. I saw the advertisements and was drawn to the Bible-based teaching and practical Christian life ministries. Although I was raised in church and a Christian most of my life, This was during a time in my life where there was a lot of upheaval. I began attending The Bridge and another large church simultaneously. What stood out to me was how the church family reached out to me in a very genuine and non-superficial way. I was able to relate to their real life experiences in contrast to the other church I had been attending where I could walk in and walk out unnoticed. Since this time, my life has drastically changed for the better. Even though I have been a Christian and served on ministerial staffs and in lay ministry for many years, I have found a home here in an opportunity to serve in a way that I hadnât before. The Bible based teaching and ministry and accountability provides the environment I need to grow and flourish and make a difference with the kingdom of God during my time in...
