We try to avoid this shopping area. It's really gone downhill over the last few decades and just feels very unsafe. The Walgreens isn't bad, but the Mazzios is the absolute worst one I've been to. They are dirty and mess up your orders. Then, the so-called manager won't even correct it and try to force you to pay for a type of pizza that you never ordered. We had to call the corporate number to get a refund, but we were stuck with the incorrect pizza that night, and it was gross. The Family Dollar store in this location is the most unsettling one I've been to as well. I'll never go back there. I literally saw 2 separate shop lifting crimes in just the 15 minutes I was in there, and the employees yelling at them and freaking out. 😳 The employees all look like they were recently let out on probation, too, and very rude. Go elsewhere if you want to feel comfortable and safe. It's a shame that that area has fallen so bad, and nothing is being done about it. Things were not like this when I was a kid and came here to visit my grandparents. There's no real options for food in this area of Tulsa, so everyone is forced to either drive 7 miles both ways to the Reasons on Lewis or drive 7 miles both ways to Sand Springs just to grocery shop. THIS is a REAL food desert, and it's never discussed on the news or addressed by our dear city. We have to go to Braums to buy basic necessities like milk and bread and pay higher prices as a result. We don't have a real shopping area. This spot used to have a Safeway, which turned into Homeland and then to just this terrible Family Dollar store. Then they opened a warehouse market not far from here, which remained for 2 decades only to be taken away as well. Their ridiculous excuse was that there's too many grocery stores here, lol. 🙄 Yeah, you guys are delusional. 🤣 Come show us in this part of West Tulsa where all the grocery stores are... We literally have to drive to another city to do all of our shopping because there are NOOO other stores. We are by far the most neglected area in this city, and it's annoying when all we hear about is the shortage of stores and food deserts in North Tulsa when they actually have more options than us, and no one in our city government even seems to notice or care. We have a large population of elderly people who've lived here their entire lives and now have no access to a store nearby. It makes it very difficult for everyone, but especially the elderly and disabled who either can't drive or can't drive long distances and affording the extra gas money. Please do better, Tulsa, and we'd love to see this terrible strip mall torn down and a REAL store built in its place. If you can afford to have Tulsa police camped out at the Walmart on Brookside to keep the thugs out, then you could do the same for...
Read moreHorrible...but since this is a food desert you don't really have a choice. They're expensive at family dollar, the price is one thing on the shelf, and when you get to the register the prices are higher then what's posted AND THEY WILL NOT ADJUST. THEY REFUSE TO DO REFUNDS EXCHANGES ETC. THEY HAVE TO CALL THE REGIONAL MANAGER OR SOMEONE FOR APPROVAL. that using what the store policy says. Receipt of not. They're rude and disrespectful (some of the workers are). This place needs to be closed in my opinion. It's a huge disservice to the community, price gouging and bad customer service DO NOT GO HAND IN HAND. I've reached out to the attorney general, and dollar tree corporate office in regards to my dealing with this company. DO NOT BUY MILK FROM HERE YOU MIGHT DIE IT WILL SPOIL IN 2...
Read moreIt is easy to get around the entire shopping center the way the parking lot is laid out. There are a variety of stores to choose from. A liqueur store , a Family Dollar, Subway, Kim's Beauty supply, and a Walgreens with ATM. If there are any problems police, EMTs, and 2 fire stations very close are there almost immediately. Everytime I've witnessed any kind of dissary they have had it under control in a few shorts minutes. I would recommend this place to all.
This shopping center has the best variety of stores for the West Side considering there are no Grocery Stores on that...
