I used to shop here when I lived local but I no longer live in the area and I just so happen to come here today. They gave the store a bad rep.. I came today and was absolutely disrespected by all three women that were currently working. I usually don’t even experience stuff like that because I am a peoples person and will literally make a conversation out of anything. I walked up to the register after carefully picking my items out of the store aisles, making sure that they were all listed on my WIC card, I scanned them all on the new Wic app and checked my benefits. The store even had orange stickers stating that the items were Wic Approved.. the woman at the register was immediately greeted by me saying “hello how are you?” Kindly. And she just looked at me and kept talking on her phone. I was completely shocked at the disrespect, because why would you act like you didn’t hear me when I know that I spoke up when I said it and she looked me directly in the eyes so I already knew that the experience was going to be garbage. I let her know that the items that I’m going to put up first are going to be my Wic items, and after finishing putting all of the Wic items up first, she scanned them all up and gets to the end and decides to say “Are all of these Wic items?” And I said “yes I’m not sure if you heard me, but I was trying to tell you that these items are going to be Wic first” she gives off some weird face expression like she’s irritated and goes to get the manager. The manager comes back and has just as much as an attitude and they asked me to put my card in and then print out a receipt and go back-and-forth explaining to each other as well to me that the items are not Wic approved and even though they are on my Wic list, the store personally doesn’t allow me to get some of the items, I asked her what did she mean because the items scan through the app perfectly fine, and the orange sticker was there? It just seem like it was a lot of confusion and they denied a decent amount of the things I needed at the moment weren’t going to get approved. so I decided to tell the cashier and the manager that it’s fine. I’m just not gonna get any of the Wic stuff because I’ll just go to another store were I’ll just get all the Wic stuff together versus separating it and when the manager told her to “cancel the items because I didn’t get my milk I wanted.” “I said it wasn’t just because of the milk it was because it’s not scanning several items that I’m eligible for I’m not going to pay for them when I have a benefits card.” So when the manager walked away, there was another cashier behind my cashier, and my cashier went over to her and whispered something to her during the time of me being at the register, the women turned around, & they both started smiling as if they were talking about me, and then never stopped looking back-and-forth at each other & smiling and then looking at me. I’m like OK here we go with the kid stuff. I normally don’t have these issues when I go out to grocery stores and here we are making an issue out of nothing🙄 and to make the situation even worse the lady also wasn’t paying enough attention to know that I wasn’t putting my full purchase on one card. I expressed to her specifically to put $50 on my debit card and she tried to charge the whole amount so when the card declined, she said to me “your card isn’t working” and I immediately said huh? This card? She said nothing.. I Immediately received a notification to my phone saying the card was declined because she charged a wrong amount and I said to her that I specified that I’m only putting $50 on this is saying that you charge the full amount she just looked at me with a attitude and said “put your card in again.” I’m never coming back to the store the manager, and all of them started getting close to each other at the end of my transaction whispering back-and-forth and it was just something so funny about me holding them accountable for their unprofessionalism. I will never go back there again…. Super trash. Like Was that...
Read moreI would not recommend this location. Went in today and the person working the register was condescending. I asked her how much the chips rang up and since there's usually a 2/$6 deal she stated $3 because 3+3 is 6, but I only got one bag and I was trying to see if the deduction applied to the chips, which it did. Then when I gave her the total amount she inputted it wrongly, the total was $12.50 thus I gave her $20.50, but she put it in as $20.25. I tried bringing this up to her attention and in a patronzing tone she told me she knows how to add, and that she caught the mistake hence she gave an extra quarter. She in fact did not give the right change and I was still missing a quarter and so I kept trying to bring this to her attention, but she kept telling me "I know how to add honey" in a patronizing tone. After trying to tell her I gave up and left with a smile on my face, but internally I'm annoyed because it's not about the quarter it's about the principle. I will be taking my business elsewhere. If by chance you made it this far there's a better and fresher selection at other save-a-lots go there instead. Side note: if by some weird chance I do go to this location I will not be going to that register because she CANNOT add and is rude. I do not expect much since it is save-a-lot, but I do expect to be treated with...
Read moreI was waiting in line patiently with other customers when the cashier pulled a gentleman from the other line and allowed him to skip everybody and rang him up. I only had 1 item to purchase which was a milk. I noticed what she did and I didn't say anything. When it was my turn to purchase she ignorantly asked me if I'm purchasing the milk. I replied to her yes that's why I am on the line. She immediately said she was not ringing me up. I told her I noticed that she called this gentleman over as if she knew him to skip everybody in line when we were all waiting. Chris the store supervisor immediately started yelling at me telling me to get out of his store in front of my child. He didn't want to hear what happened and what she did. He even threatened to call the cops on me! Another woman offered to purchase the milk for me to avoid anymore conflict, he then told her he was not going to allow her to purchase the milk. I immediately felt like he was being racist! I am black and the lady who offered to buy the milk for me is also black! They have no respect for their customers. I spend over $500 in this store every month! Not to mention some of the food is always expired! I will not be stopping...
