The idea garden is a very cool concept. If I'm not mistaken, the Illinois Master Gardeners plant the garden in such a way that it self regulates the soil nutrients and doesn't need watering. It's a very small space, less than half an acre - but it's absolutely packed with flowers, bonsai trees, and even crops. It's laid out in a way that you could spend hours walking through it despite its small size. If you're in Champaign, you need to visit the idea garden. I'd also highly recommend the Japan House and the parts of the Arboretum near it.
I'm revising my review to say that I don't believe there are any public restrooms in the Arboretum. I'm not taking off any stars for that, and I could be incorrect, but just be prepared...
