Carle Park — Attraction in Urbana

A special place for me - I grew up on these swings and trees. Sadly, some folks that live on the park are busybodies who can't stand dogs and teens, so keep your dog on a leash. Also, they closed up the pavilion, which is unfortunate as it now keeps folks, especially teens at UHS , in the rain. Lastly, my favorite thing to do is to sit and look at the canopy. Beautiful trees in a park tucked back in a quaint Urbana neighborhood. Plenty of space with lots of shaded areas. Has a sand volleyball court, walking paths, and two playgrounds - one for older kids and one for younger kids. Beautiful historic park. It has many gorgeous mature trees, and a nice labeling system so you can tell what tree species it is.
