Excellent trail in the Champaign area. Old rail line with limestone gravel now for the trail. Very long and great for walking, biking and running. Only issue I had was where to park to access the trail. Tip: Park at the Walmart close to the trailhead to access the trail. Not many people on the path so it was excellent all-around. I will be using it regularly while in town on business. Enjoy!

After moving to town not so long ago, I discovered this trail recently and I’m absolutely loving it! It is generally well maintained with easy access. At first, I wasn’t sure where to park, but Google informed me that a lot of people use the Walmart parking lot and that has worked amazingly well for me. I am excited about the upcoming expansion.

I was looking for a place in the area for a ruck, and this trail came up. It’s level, straight, had smooth gravel, and well groomed. Sparse shade. I parked at the Wal-Mart, and made it past the large cemetery E/B.
