East Vail Falls — Attraction in Vail

Great hike! Went after a snow and barley frosted ground, with an unusual warm spell beginning today with plenty of sunshine. Started at 10am and 39°F, ended at 11am after also taking pictures to a warm and sunny 49°F. Before the sun hits the trail, it's easy trekking. Only at the very bottom towards 11am did it start to get muddy. After some snow and rains, the falls were light, but gorgeous. Definitely should be rated hard. Not something for kids, older people or anybody unfit. We had trouble crossing the water and my girlfriend got scared on the last part of the rope section and turned back. 3 people we met on the way struggled to cross the water and were not able to do any of the ropes. Very steep and very dangerous but beautiful waterfall and well worth it if you push on and make it to the top. I would do it again but it’s not...

Great views and a great hike for beginners to the falls. No major obstacles to navigate on your way up to the falls. The trail is straight forward with a lot of areas for excellent picture opportunities. We did not see any other visitors during our time there as well, which was nice.
