Fastrak required or $5 CASH ONLY TOLL. No cards accepted & unlike Golden Gate, you won't be able to "pay-by-license plate" for one-time use on the Fastrak website. The attendant will hand you a toll violation flyer ($25 fine). The violation will be sent to the registered vehicle owners address & you can either pay the fine, or open a Fastrak account where the violation fee will then be waived for the first violation only. It's the quickest way to "Wine Country" (Napa & Sonoma) from the East Bay. If you're not familiar traversing the Bay Area, I can see how it can be problematic. I never carry cash, although while living here, I became accustomed to ensuring I always had toll money on hand, just in case, because it's happened to me. So, rule of thumb if you're traveling to the Bay; always have toll money because it's called the Bay Area for a reason.

It’s like a Golden Gate Bridge / Bay Bridge hybrid. The light on the bridge is beautiful in the evenings and at sunset. One helluva bridge.

Walked across and back! Beautiful views, then went to Port Costa & shopped and had drinks. Excellent day!

I am going to sue. I did a turn around because I missed the last exit before going across the bay bridge. I did not know they had charged me, as the toll operator told me to go ahead.

When renewing my registration they put a hold on my renewal until I paid $177 for each of the two times it happened. I was unfailiar with the area and did not realize I could not exit the freeway before the bridge This site does not function properly. Have not been able to see what I have typed for since I typed $177 above. They are attempting to censor or complaints. Not only do they steal from and rob us, they actively attempt to silence us to shield others from learning about their fraud.

That is our dishonest government at work.

Someone needs to sue the hell out of fast trak. They force you to pay them a 25 dollar fee if ya dont have cash. They don't have any signs that there is a toll ahead until you are at the toll area. No way to get off the road to grab money before crossing. They basically screw you hard without a condom by forcing you to go through...
