Sandy's Marina — Attraction in Van Buren Charter Township

I brought my boat there for winterization. After I came to pickup my boat, the tarp I use to cover my boat was caved in and filled the boat with water. Upon inspection, my tarp pole was snapped in half and laying on the floor of the boat. When I asked at the office about it, they said they would call me tomorrow to resolve the issue.

When they called, the lady I spoke to told me it was not their fault and the slight amount of rain we received caused it to break. REALLY! Are you joking? My tarp and poles are only 2 years old and the rods are aluminum. If installed properly, there is no way any amount of rain would cause the pole to snap in half (and it only lightly rained about .25 inches over 8 hours). They have already survived some pretty violent storms with no issues.

They continued to deny any responsibility for breaking my tarp pole and blamed it on the weather. I asked if they could provide me with a replacement pole or something to help me out since more rain was on the way. I was told they would call me back. Now a week later, no word. They obviously just ignored my request to avoid responsibility. This mistake cost me hours of extra work to clean, dry and jerry rig a new apparatus to keep the cover pitched for the coming rain. They handled the situation very poorly and and I will not be returning for service in the future. I could have winterized the boat myself with all the extra time I spent fixing...

Ditto on the previous review on professionalism and how customers are treated. Will never return here.

me and girlfriend decided to take my boat out for the first time on bellivelle lake, and this being the first time we have taken the boat out since i bought it,(knowing literally knowing about boating ie: launching, piloting ect) the guy and girl who helped us from getting out of the truck to launching the boat were extremely helpful, patient and made it so we had an amazing first time on the water.
