Read moreWas alright during the day but don't bother fishing at dark. People out there break every rule posted on the sign they can't read I guess. Bicycle on the pier, lights dropped down into the water under the pier, guy even drilling holes into the expensive imported wood to hold his multiple fishing poles when it's only supposed to be one line person. Other people with multiple lines letting them drift and tangle into mine because they're in attended.
The city does not care about this pier. PD came out walked the pier and didn't say a word to anyone for what I'm assuming is out of fear. Could see the body cam rolling though if anyone wants to do a FOIA request for the footage. 8/9/25 at about 2200 hours.
We came from out of town 2 hours away to do some weekend fishing and it will be the last time I drive out here after seeing the amount effort for enforcing blatantly obvious rule and ordinance violations. If you don't take good care of your city property it will eventually go to crap. So yeah wouldn't recommend evening fishing here. Pretty sure the city officials don't know this crap is going...
Read moreSo my first time at Venice Beach fishing pier we came here looking for sharks teeth it was a little disappointing didn't find any sharks teeth it could have just been the day or the weather or the tide we went during low tide wasn't many people on the beach cuz it was so foggy the pier there were some people fishing on the pier to pierce nice looks like some restaurants around looks a little tourist trappy you know what I mean but it's something to do in Venice I guess but I found the street we had better luck yesterday over at Manasota Key Beach looks like a nice place to hang out so anyways if you're in Venice are you visiting the west coast city have nothing to do and it's a bright sunny day and you want to go hit the beach absolutely looks like there was a lot of fishermen here catching fish the restaurants were open so I didn't have a chance to try any restaurants or any food over there so it looks like a pretty safe place to stay and if you want to go and get some shells and get some sharks teeth you know I'll also post some pictures of a gentleman's selling jewelry...
