Definitely not what it used be. I went to this dog park when we first moved here but haven't been back since I found wantage dog park. There is poop everywhere! As someone else walked in I got my dogs together to leave. My one dog is scared of people so we go when there is no one there. The women approaches me and tells me I can't be there with this many dogs. Ok I'm leaving now with them, she continues to scream at me and tells me there is no way I can watch my dogs. Excuse me? I'm there to play with my dogs, not sit on my phone. I potty my dogs before we go in and have my own poop bag! Who are you to tell me anything. Such an unfriendly women completely unnecessarily screaming at me and following me. Clearly I am leaving. Then as I'm getting leashes on my dogs leaves her dog in the park by itself. Clearly rule following is NOT for board members as her dog poops as she processes to inspect my car. I put my dogs in my car and she walks right by her dogs poop. No wonder the place is covered in it. Definitely will never be going there again. I will continue to go to wantage dog park. It's significantly bigger and has agility equipment there and running water so you can actually have clean water. The people there are also way nice and much...
Read moreI drive 30 minutes from Ringwood for my dog to enjoy this well-kept, huge farm-like field. There are plenty of places to sit and be social or be by yourself. Of course the locals might be gossiping local stuff, but everyone is usually more than welcoming. Like any public place, there are all kinds of people - just like the dogs at the park. Most dogs have social abilities, and it is great fun to see little dogs intermingle and run and play with dogs 5 times their size! It's the owners that need to learn from the dogs!
They usually have readily available water for your dog to drink.
Think about donating, as the volunteers appear to work very hard to make this a nice place for the canine species to socialize with few regulations like found in many other dog parks - which are totally unnecessary.
Just clean up after your dog, be a good citizen, and be courteous to others and aware of your dog at all times...
That usually let's everything work smoothly.
I drive an hour round-trip for my dog to enjoy this place.
You should too, if you had to -...
Read moreThis place is delightful. Just wish the small dog area was bigger.
It's not small mind you.
It's just that the big dogs get about 10x the space. Which is wonderful but my pup looks at it wishing he could run there too.
My pup would love to run that space but he really is too small to be in there. He'd look like a chew toy to his larger buddies.
Little dogs are allowed in the big dog area but it's at their own risk... maybe one day we will get here when it's got more docile dogs in the big area and he will get his...
