Had lunch with my sister here on a Monday. The server was very overwhelmed. She told us immediately she was the only person working and was very busy and offered to sit us in the bar but we said we weren’t in a rush and waited outside. It was a few minutes before she came over to us which we expected and were fine with. When she did she was very sweet and was doing a great job despite being the only server working. The food did take longer than usual but she explained the kitchen was also short staffed and we were in no rush and still enjoyed. Unfortunately the tables around us were blind to her hard work. People were stopping to complain to her about the prices and asking for a manager. Their was no manager their to back her up on the prices listed in the menu. Who ever is managing this place should be ASHAMED of themselves for letting their staff go on so short handed and not even being there to back up your staff. Our poor server should not have had to explain to Mrs. Karen at the table next to us why a salad is $14, a manager should. If you don’t have enough staff to run a restaurant, why are you having your restaurant stay open to anger customers? We were in no rush and the server was very nice so we did not mind that it took two hours for two appetizers and a salad.. but even though we didn’t mind it is still not acceptable. Shame on management. I guess they are new but I won’t be going back for a long time because they don’t know what they’re doing here yet. Again our server was awesome but the manager who put her in the position to be in charge of all the tables inside and outside, while not even having a kitchen staff that can get food out in a reasonable amount of time, should probably find a new job that isn’t restaurant management. If you’re short staffed it’s probably better to close on that day then to anger just about every single...
Read moreThe overall experience was mediocre. I have to mention the one and only incident I had at this restaurant. I ordered the half roasted chicken entree. It comes with a salad, jalapeno corn muffins and 2 sides. Under choice of sides, you have pasta with choice of sauce, more jalapeno corn muffins among others. After ordering, I received the meal without the jalapeno corn muffins which come with the meal. I had to ask the waitress for them and she replied with "oh sorry, we ran out, but can I bring you something in its place?" Being that jalapeno corn muffins were also under side dishes...I felt ordering another side to replace them would be acceptable. I requested penne with vodka sauce. The waitress brought it to me and then the manager approaches my table to inform me that the "penne was not a suitable substitute and that in the future this would not happen again." I was completely mortified and shocked that this was the management of a restaurant. If the waitress does not have knowledge of what an appropriate substitute is, how in the world should the customer? I have been a restaurant owner for 30 years and I have never seen this type of rude address to a customer. The manager is classless and his public relations are atrocious. Get your menu in check and the bugs off of you tables and leave the customers alone. Perhaps you could look at your menu and clarify why corn muffins are given with the meal and also included under side dishes next to penne a la vodka? I will never walk back into that restaurant again! And oh yeah, and when I went to tell the waitress how embarrassed I was at the treatment of the manager, she informed me that , "the manager was her father," and walked away from me, rudely...ew ew ew! Go to the...
Read moreTerrible service, poorly run, and incompetent staff. Six people in our group, we ordered a pretzel, fried calamari, and six meals. We waited an hour and a half for the pretzel and we’re told by the runner that the calamari would take a while longer. I asked for the manager and was told they haven’t had one in a while.
We finally got fed up with being ignored and being told our food would be right out and decided to leave. The bartender came over and handed us a bill for the pretzel and calamari we never got (the pretzel was cold and stale). Then she acted like she was doing us a favor by taking the one beer and two wines off the bill. When I told her we never even got the calamari she acted annoyed that she had to print another bill. Three tables around us came in after us and were served within 30 minutes.
I have never walked out of a restaurant before the meal in my life. The final bill was $13 for the stale pretzel, I left $20 because I didn’t have another hour to wait for change. I shouldn’t have left anything.
It’s a wonder this place is still open. The owner obviously doesn’t care about the place if they aren’t on premise, don’t have someone managing the place, or at least have someone on site who knows what the hell is going on. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I didn’t get a chance to thank them for ruining my mother’s birthday before we left. I’m not a restaurant guy but own my own business and could run this place ten times better with my...
