Vernon Valley Farm — Attraction in Vernon Township

I was looking to buying pork and beef in bulk from a farm that practiced raising naturally fed animals. I found a few in NJ and NY; yet when I visited Vernon Valley Farms I noticed a young group of farmers who were determined to bring back local farming and sound practices to the area. After being taken on a tour of the property and speaking with the owner and a few members of his staff, my wife and I decided to purchase a few random items. All the meat and vegetables were delicious and of excellent quality. Within two weeks we returned to buy a half hog and 1/4 cow. The Team of farmers there are polite, fair, hard working and could be doing a number of other things at their age; yet they chose to support farming naturally grown food. The decision to support them was easy and the staff is a pleasure to deal with. If for some reason they are not at the stand/barn, simply call the number to the farm and they will send someone out or take care of your order over the phone. I could not agree more with those who indicated 5-stars, and can't believe the comments by the three individuals who gave 1-star (must be local competition) for there is a tone of jealousy in their message and no comments about the farm itself. The fact that the ratings are all 5's except for these three individuals that gave 1's, is a clear indication to ignore these three reviews. I'm looking very much forward to my recently placed order, and am sure that I'll be back again for more. Keep up the good work Vernon...

This place is absolutely amazing. The owner/operator, his family and his staff are incredibly skilled and run a beautiful operation. I've visited the farm personally (farm-stand) and was greeted with friendly faces, and delicious produce! What a hidden gem, in the rural NJ area!

Most importantly is the flavor & quality of their grass fed beef. I bought a few amazing Rib Eye's and can honestly say I've never had a better tasting steak. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat (if I can ever catch them when they're in stock!)

I must take issue with the last reviewer. My experience with this group of young farmers has been 100% positive. I am a frequent visitor and having talked with them, I am quite impressed with their knowledge and, most particularly, with their ambition to increase and perfect the farm in every aspect. that they have stolen the farm from anyone in their family is ridiculous.
