Gourgous hiking area. Very peaceful. The stream that the trail follows is really peaceful and beautiful. You can make a nice loop that covers just about 2 miles. It would also be great for the very young or old as you can walk in just an1/4 mile and get some of the best views. Please keep dogs on leash, it is a wildlife management area.

there is parking for $5 fee but that let you in on all the trails and there's a lake or a pond actually where there's a little bit of sandl there's a pavilion for picnics and also there's picnic tables scattered in throughout the whole place it's pretty big for family reunions or just afore they take the kids for a day

There is definitely parking for this area in about three different spots. I followed a map on the all trails app which took me in a loop. This is definitely a beautiful area area to hike with a stream running through. Dog friendly. Outbhouse as well .

We used to fish the pond and the streams back in the 1970s when the property was a private, members only fish and game club. The fish were literally jumping out of the pond! It was loaded with trout. They would stock the waters heavily with rainbow and brown trout and there were several gold trout as well. Used worms as bait and always brought out the limit in less than 30 minutes. Today the water level in the pond is much lower and the flow of the brook is also significantly declined from what it used to be. Nice seeing the old place again. Not the same as...

One of the nicest places to walk around outside that I've ever been in Vernon. I went as the sun was going down so that might have been why I couldn't find the yellow path on the eastern side of the trail on the blue and yellow loop it was almost like it just disappeared and I had to follow the blue path back to the beginning of the loop but if that happens to you as well just follow the blue path and you should be able to get out OK. Lots of other cut throughs as well. All in all a great time and I will return to explore more when there is more...

Hiked here yesterday with my kids. We hike every day and I've never been to a trail like this. Trees down everywhere. Looked like a construction site. I thought this was a conservation area?! Also dead animals everywhere. Dead fish and birds near the waterfall. I couldn't let the kids or my dog explore because I was worried they'd touch something. That was the yellow trail and part of the blue trail. Once we got passed the waterfall if was beautiful. Just like every other hike we've been on. Untouched with streams and winding trails. Not sure we'll go...
