Vernon Senior Center — Local services in Vernon

My visit to the Vernon Senior Center was for a Covid-19 Vaccine.

I was truly impressed with how everything was structured and how many folks came together for the community.

Access us right off the highway. Ample parking and they have traffic flow going in one direction outside.

As for the Vaccine portion inside you are met by a person outside who checks your temperature. Then once cleared ( please note everyone wears a mask) they ask that use hand sanitizer.

You then are asked it'll you are a first or second shot. Those who are newbies go to the left. Those who are old timers go to the right.

Every question you have will be answered.

Wait times vary after your shot. 15 minutes is standard and 30 for those who have allergies or underlying conditions

I was there at Vernon Senior Center with my buddy, Steven Langais, for the 1st vaccine dose on Thursday March 4th. The building, the atmosphere and the interior looks great. Also, we have lots of very nice people who are citizens of Vernon-Rockville as well amd then, we have a library of used paperbacks for senior citizens as well.

Just went here to play some pickleball, they have one court outside. They recommend that you reserve the court, but if not in use get some play in. The court has some kind of interlocking rubber padding to make play easier on the joints and help protect against falls.
