Part 1 I booked a private event space for a wedding party in Nov 2022 for Dec 2023. I communicated by email and took a tour. I made a point by email and verbally of the expectations of the booking for the space and band. I paid the full fee at the time of booking. I later rented their tables/ chairs/ keg purchases and the add-ons that differenced from what I was told during the tour with no complaint. I was told there wasn't a band scheduled yet for Dec 23 as I was booking soo far in advance. I was told that they would have the appropriate band for our party booked and I could help in the selection process. Come time for the party and my new wedding planner stepped in dealing with the Walking Tree Brewery. She told me they had booked a band yet, I was not consulted. The band booked was not a wedding party band and instead a funk band that is not wedding appropriate. I was told by my planner that this could not be changed as that they used an outside service for the booking and I was stuck. There was no offer made to try to switch the bands in the schedule. The party came and our vendors showed up there. Place is beautiful. Guest start arriving and its warm in there, but it is what it is. Atmosphere is perfect, food is amazing, dessert table is fabulous and the photo booth team is on point. I had hired a car service to transport the 50 guest who were staying Captain Hiram's with us.Part 2 I had planned multiple days of events at Captain Hirams for our guests. This event at Walking Tree Brewery was to celebrate a a huge milestone. We had just finished 3 years of cancer and this was the family celebrating his remission and his first time in public. They flew in from everywhere. We had done vows the year prior with only a few of us so this was the big event at Walking Tree. I invested myself in it and the only thing I had no control over was the band. The band starts after 7pm. Its a funk band, never heard of anything they were playing, not our type of music and loud. Nothing to dance to or sing along with for a wedding party. They were placed in a shared space of the area I rented. The only fan provided was placed right next to them blowing hot air into our area. The room quickly filled with heat stroke guest and they began to leave and seek fresh air on the other side of the venue to not be seen again. Candy table desserts start to melt. I tell the band that there was supposed to be a "cover band" type of band rented and asked if they would play something like that. The response was negative and unprofessional. We are now in hot box, the band turned the music up multiple times louder and louder to the point of offensive (on purpose I'm sure). The room is getting hotter and hotter.. My guest are walking out at 7:30... We had the space from 6-10. The only staff member offers no assistance, she is rude and tells me she doesn't want to talk to me because I have a planner there. She tells me their outside service books the band so its not her problem. She tells me I didn't pay for the band so I shouldn't be talking to them. There is no request made to the band to turn it down, play something we could enjoy, no control over the rising temperature. Their event coordinator is not answering the calls or even returned the messages left for her that I know of.. as of today, I still have not heard from them. I take all 50 guests and we get back on the transportation, Before 8pm) as the band noise is beyond inappropriately loud and the temperature in the there had become unbearable for my northern family. We abandoned the vendors, our dessert table, photo booth leaving us with few pictures and the kegs. We moved most to Captain Hiram's and they accommodated us. Our guest now had to open tabs for their drinks since the kegs stayed at Walking Tree. I am beyond disappointed in this venue. The disrespect from their staff and the band was unbelievable. They failed on every level except the decor. DO Not rent this place for private parties. I begged for help...
Read moreI came by the brewery on 8/24/2024 and when I approached the bar I showed the bartender that I had a BOGO offer via the Treasure Coast Ale Trail app and placed my order for a beer. I ordered another and afterwards went to cash out my tab. The bartender ran my credit card for 2 beers at $7.50 each and I advised him of the error. He reran my credit card for one beer at $7.50 which I signed that receipt and left. I received a notification from my credit card company a charge came in for $15.00 and I disputed the item with them. I received a voice mail from the brewery on 9/10/2024 regarding the charge back, however I did not return the call as the normal protocol is for the merchant to work out the issue with his/her bank and the customers bank. I came into the brewery on 10/11/2024 with some friends for a beer and listen to the musical entertainment for the night and upon approaching the bar was told my an employee that I had been 86 (no longer welcomed/banned from the establishment) by the owner, Mike Malone. I asked him why? He just said the owner said so. Needless to say I was shocked, embarrassed and totally blindsided by this as this happened in front of my friends and other customers around me at the bar! I have been to this brewery many times over the years and only had 1 other credit card charge discrepancy in which it was resolved amicably. I thought this was a VERY extreme response from the owner and cannot believe all this over a $7.50 tab!! I have many other places to go where I can enjoy a beer/entertainment and not have to deal with this kind of issue. Just an FYI to ANYONE who pays a tab with a credit card, take a photo of the signed receipt and compare it when it hits your credit card account to insure you are charged what...
Read moreStayed at couple of nights in Vero and i had to go and try my favorite IPA from the source...lol. The place was pretty impressive at first sight, you can see the brewery as the bar's background. After knowing Walking Tree only for what they sell at the supermarket i was impressed with the variety of beers that they make and the quality of them. As stated before, my favorite is the IPA but i always like to start with a fresh easy blond beer... which took me back to Europe, to the roots of beer. If you are reading this review you need to try the Straw hat blond ale for warm ups and you may find yourself having more than one like my wife who's no friends with beer. We had a great time with my wife and daughter, the girls at the bar were really attentive. We played some darts(please send the bill if we destroyed some of the surroundings) and we had just a great time. Warning people this is a factory-warehouse and there is no a/c. No pet friendly because it is a food processing place. They have mirrored beer keg hanging on the ceiling that was the cherry on top for me :) We...
