Phoebe Bakken Memorial Park — Attraction in Village of Cottage Grove

I had a wonderful experience visiting this fantastic park! It’s much more than just a typical playground and splash pad — it’s a truly inclusive community space that makes a positive impact on everyone. This park is proudly home to The Miracle League of Dane County, which features a state-of-the-art baseball field designed specifically for players with physical and cognitive disabilities. It’s inspiring to see such a well-designed facility that allows everyone the opportunity to enjoy the game of baseball in a safe and welcoming environment. The dedication to accessibility and inclusion here is truly commendable.

Additionally, I’m excited to learn about the upcoming revitalization project scheduled for 2026, which will introduce a new playground designed for children of all abilities. Amazing park with a splash pad, soccer fields, the miracle league, rugby clubhouse, skate park, tennis courts, pickleball courts, dream playground, a paved half mile walking loop, a small shelter with bathrooms, and a large shelter with bathrooms. There's plenty to do for everyone of all ages, and everyone who comes to the park is respectful and kind. There are also often events like live music on top of rugby, miracle, and soccer league games/practice, though, so it can be rather busy/packed. Excellent park. Free splash pad is well maintained and enjoyed by a multitude of ages. Large playground is also well maintained and had a plethora of activities for children.
