Explore the Treetop Quest in Roanoke, Virginia, located in the Explore Park. It was so much for us. Adults can join too. I didn’t know when my husband bought the tickets I was already at the bottom of the hill waiting for them. Oh well, next time for sure! #roanokeva #explore #fun #outdoors #kidsactivities #ziplinechallenge #ziplinefun #kidszipline #virginia #explorepark #exploreparkcounty

Had our wedding here in September! This venue is beautiful! It's simplistic and historical which gives the option of decorating it as much or little as possible. They provided golf carts the day of our wedding to get down to the church and back up to reception hall. It is a small venue and I do no recommend it if you are planning more than 100 people attending, but it's great for smaller weddings. There is a bride room at the church to hide out in till the ceremony starts. They have a bridal suite and groom's suite with private bathrooms and a bigger getting ready room in the upstairs of the reception building. The layout of the building does make it somewhat difficult to fit more than 6 tables, but they provide maps and setup options to fit as many people as possible, which was incredibly helpful. They try very hard to be available for you to see the venue any time up to your wedding. Obviously they can't do this during weddings, but they were willing any other time. The one downside, that they can't help, is that the new treequest is along the way to the church and there were people there when we were about to start our ceremony. Not a huge deal, as the church is far enough away that you can't hear the people and is you have it in the evening, most of the people will be gone. Definitely just more of a heads up if that's important to you. They don't have anyone there to help setup or clean up, but a person was there till the event was over if we had questions and to make sure the trash was out and buildings were locked up. You get the venue from Friday to Sunday at a very reasonable price. We loved having our wedding here and they many sites for beautiful pictures (like...

I recently got married at Explore Park in its Mount Union Church with the reception at the Arthur Taubman Center (ATC). It was perfect. The church is sweet, quaint and simple so you can decorate it anyway you'd like or keep it the way it is. You can not go wrong either way. We had a friend play the processional and recessional songs on the piano inside the church and the acoustics were amazing. Arthur Taubman Center is right up the hill from the church so it was very convenient as far as transportation goes. The top floor of ATC has a bridal and groom room big enough for our 18 person wedding party to get ready in (bride and 8 bridesmaids in bridal room and groom and 8 groomsmen in groom room). If you need more space to get ready, there is another large room across the hall. The main level of ATC is gorgeous. It has a bar, a fireplace, a lovely sun room with french doors that lead to a large deck. Explore Park allows you to choose any caterer which is great and helps with the large costs of a wedding. The Park itself, is beautiful and so many wonderful spots to take great pictures. The venue manager was available to answer any question and was always very helpful. If you are looking for an affordable, picture perfect option for your wedding, Explore Park should be at the top...

My husband and I went up for his birthday last night and stayed in one of the couples cabins. It was so fun! The cabin was so adorable inside! It had an electric fireplace, a small dining table with a wrap around padded bench, AC, a ceiling fan, a pull out futon that you could use as a couch or bed, and a nice and clean refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. The bathhouse was directly across from us but even at the farthest cabin or yurt it’s less than a 30 second walk. The bathrooms and showers are up to date, clean, and there is surprisingly good water pressure for a camp bathhouse. The water was also very warm! The parking spots are right by your cabin and it appeared that each one had two spots. There were two different cabin styles as well as the yurts. The yurt next to us was empty and we had a peak in the window. We will definitely opt for the yurt next time although there is absolutely nothing wrong with the cabins! There is also a little cabin store in the very first cabin! I do wish the cabins were a little further apart but nothing terrible! There’s also so much to do! This place is good for one romantic night...
