Meh. Cool location, but had limited menu due to private event earlier that day (okay?). Available food was very expensive for a frozen patty overcooked to being a hard puck, and undercooked frozen fries. $12 for about $2 worth of flavorless materials. We were both disappointed and left still hungry, nearly inedible. We had to pick up food on the way home directly after.
It also took forever (30+ minutes) and we were the only people who had ordered at the time. Service was slow and indifferent, felt like they were annoyed to have customers, 2+ hours before closing. Beer was not noteworthy. The whole experience felt like an afterthought and not like an actual business that was interested in paying customers.
I'd recommend going to Cookout for better comparable food and any of our dozens of breweries for a better experience and beer. I can see others also had similar experiences, so for the owner I'd take a hard look at the feedback and make some improvements. Two stars is being generous.
Re: the reply from the owner, my comments still stand. A charred hockey puck is what it is, regardless of what you claim the ingredients started as. Please see the multiple other reviews with many of the same sentiments I laid out above. How many times can you claim that it doesn't sound like how you normally do things before you make changes? Bottom line, I'm not interested in coming back to this location to...
Read moreEdit I returned recently to find that this place has changed significantly--it's now more of a counter service brewery, which wasn't the vibe when I originally visited. Probably new management. Pricing seemed higher, food was just OK. Good drink selection, which seems to have expanded. But not the same as before, so I've updated my rating.
Took a stroll around the new Explore Park trails a couple of weeks ago and was happy to see the Twin Creeks Brewpub open on a Sunday afternoon. This was a great way to finish up a day out in the woods. Loved the overall aesthetic and the outdoor fireplaces and seating area--great if you have little ones or furry friends joining you. I ended up sitting inside on the main level with only one other couple in the room. Service was great and quick and the veggie burger and house chips so good! I love it when restaurants use their own recipe instead of buying frozen burgers--you can really taste the difference. Only downside is that the brownie I ordered for dessert was a bit on the dry side and had a burnt taste to it....probably wouldn't order that again, but everything else was great. Looks like they have a great selection of beers and ciders as well, so I'll have to return...
Read moreMy husband and I stumbled upon this gem while visiting with our baby and two friends from out of state, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we pulled in, the setting felt so quaint and charming, tucked away in the park and made even more magical with the holiday decorations already up. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the hospitality was unmatched. Chad and Amy behind the bar were incredible, friendly, knowledgeable, and just so genuine. Chad reassured my indecisive self that it was totally fine to sample more than two beers before choosing, and both of them were so easy to chat with from talking beer and local favorites to swapping Red Sox stories. Chad even offered to light the fire pit for us so we could enjoy the beautiful outdoor space. We also ordered food, and it was honestly was so good. I would describe it as elevated bar food. The food arrived really quickly and was warm. If you’re looking for a spot with a true local vibe, great views, and even better people, this brewery is an...
