Blacklick Woods Metro Park is always a wonderful park to go to. I have went to this park since my parents first took me. I continued to take my children there and even my grandchildren. This park has always had a wonderful nature center. The nature Center has changed inside and out for the better. They offer activities inside as well as outside. You can watch animals from the inside of the nature Center as well as outside walking and driving through the park. Outside of the nature center they made a wonderful area with a tractor, large turtle replicas, there are chairs around the fire pit and a bulletin board that tells about upcoming events. Recently Blacklick Woods added a canopy walk approximately 40 to 55 ft in the air and approximately 660 ft in walking boardwalk area, rope Bridges, cargo nets and a treehouse area as well as it has elevator to help ensure everyone gets up and down. Please however make sure that you wear proper footwear because you cannot go up without proper footwear which most people don't realize as well as call or check on the website to make sure hours of operation. With at least 6 miles of trails within the park for bicycling, walking jogging and animal watching. With an additional 16 adjacent miles along Blacklick Creek that connect to other parks "Blacklick Creek Greenway trails". They also have a exercise area up front on the right hand side across from a large parking area. I would highly recommend this park to anyone and everyone. Make sure when you're there in the nature center that you pick up one of the Park passport book for you and your family or yourself so it can be stamped when you travel from...

Wow!!! Bravo to all who were involved in funding, creating and constructing the new canopy walk!!! We are so impressed!!!

First thing, to get there go allll the way back to the very end of the long drive to the last parking lot. There are restrooms there and the structure is to the left of the parking lot. If there are no parking spaces, just circle around. People rotate through at a decent pace.

Yes, there is a considerable amount of foot traffic but the boardwalks and stairs are wide and so it is not bad at all and we went on a Sunday afternoon!

Yes, the elevator is working and 95% of the entire massive structure is wheelchair and stroller accessible!

The steel I-beam and wooden structure is solid and provides awesome views from the tops of the trees! The structure itself will remind you of wooden roller coater construction from Cedar Point or Kings Island! Just amazing!

The rope bridge is cool! People of all ages were using it including toddlers?! Not sure I am a fan of kids that young, but many parents felt it was super safe!

There is even an opportunity to try using a fireman's pole but it is optional.

The excitement added to this park that has been around for decades is fantastic bc of the vision of folks who know what they...

One of the standout features of Blacklick Woods is the Nature Center. This facility offers educational exhibits that delve into the local ecosystem, making it a great learning resource for visitors of all ages. Additionally, the park features an exciting canopy walk, allowing you to experience the forest from a unique aerial perspective. This canopy walk is not just a path above the trees but an immersive way to appreciate the area’s natural beauty and observe wildlife from a different vantage point.

Whether you're a nature enthusiast looking to observe wildlife, a family in search of an educational outing, or someone needing a quiet escape into nature, Blacklick Woods Metro Park caters to all.
