Chix on the Beach is amazing—we make it a point to go at least once during every vacation. We’ve never had to wait long, and the staff is always super friendly. The food was excellent: my daughter and I had swordfish that melted in our mouths, my daughter-in-law enjoyed a sweet, tender, juicy lobster tail, and my son (who can’t have shellfish) had a burger with all the fixings. After dinner, we stepped outside to enjoy live music, which happened to be my favorite—’60s classics! I could have stayed longer, but the rest of the family was ready to go. Chick’s Beach is very much a local beach, designed for residents and their guests. It has a relaxed vibe with neighborhood restaurants, bars, and a few activities nearby. Parking can be a challenge for visitors—definitely tougher for tourists—but not impossible. Many of the negative reviews come from a tourist perspective, but Chick’s Beach isn’t meant to be a tourist destination like Virginia Beach.
