The major trails are the Whitehurst and Buffington trails, wide trails which loops around the parcel of land. There are many more unmarked singletrack trails that spur off the Whitehurst. I went here four days after TS Michael blew through. There were many fallen twigs and branches on the trails, and one snapped tree, but this didn't prevent me from walking around. BMXers would have no trouble, either, however, it was still muddy along the stinky creek and I turned around several times. The creek smells of sewage. Lots of diverse trees grow here and they hadn't yet changed colors yet.

This is a great little spot to get about an hour in of walking through nature. There is a decent mix of of paved and unpaved trails, cute little bridges over creeks, and ability to hear wildlife. The trails aren't really marked super great once you get into the unpaved section, but if you just keep romping around you'll get back as its a small enough area to not really get lost in. We love going here with the kids and doing quick walks when we are out and about and want a few moments of nature.

The trails are nice and love the area. Not too much anymore in va beach where you can get away into the wilderness. Love how it is very quiet and not a lot of people. I can't believe I need to point this out but I have seen some reviews of people complaining about bugs and mud. The shorter trails are concrete. The ones that go off into the woods are dirt and in areas are muddy (its the woods). If it rains on dirt and you are in a coastal area mud can happen lol. Also it's the woods once agains so there will be bugs. If you are looking for a stroll on a bike path this one prolly isn't for you. If you are wanting to enjoy being outside in nature you will like it a lot especially if you don't mind getting a...

It's pretty hard to find this place, especially if you are using Google map.Behind the shops and parking lot, there is a small foot bridge that you have to cross to get to the entrance to the park.We took two rounds around the roads thinking there might be an entrance on other side.No signs on the road,I saw atleast 2 other cars roaming around looking for entrance just like us.

Inside the park other than the tar road in the beginning, all the trails were muddy and poorly maintained, can't walk at all.Our shoes and pants were soaked in...
