The trails are nice and love the area. Not too much anymore in va beach where you can get away into the wilderness. Love how it is very quiet and not a lot of people. I can't believe I need to point this out but I have seen some reviews of people complaining about bugs and mud. The shorter trails are concrete. The ones that go off into the woods are dirt and in areas are muddy (its the woods). If it rains on dirt and you are in a coastal area mud can happen lol. Also it's the woods once agains so there will be bugs. If you are looking for a stroll on a bike path this one prolly isn't for you. Read moreThe major trails are the Whitehurst and Buffington trails, wide trails which loops around the parcel of land. There are many more unmarked singletrack trails that spur off the Whitehurst.
I went here four days after TS Michael blew through. There were many fallen twigs and branches on the trails, and one snapped tree, but this didn't prevent me from walking around. BMXers would have no trouble, either, however, it was still muddy along the stinky creek and I turned around several times. The creek smells of sewage.
