This location was on our list of historical places we wanted to visit during our trip to Yorktown.

We were extremely disappointed to find that the building was closed and there was nobody around to explain the location.

Since this location is an NPS site, it should be open.

Nothing on the NPS website stated that the location was closed and that you are not able to go into the house. How would someone know this, especially if they are traveling hundreds of miles to...

This is the 5th stop, letter E, on the shorter self-guided car tour for Yorktown National Park. Honestly, it was just okay for me. The history of the house is interesting. But, it would have been really neat to have been able to go inside. When we visited, you were only able to walk around the outside of the house. There were a few informational signs to read. A ten minute stroll around the house was plenty, not much to...

The house where the British terms of surrender were made official and signed.

Pretty incredible place to stand and take in the historical significance. The property is nice, lots of parking, small family cemetery worth looking at, sign in this particular location easy to read and informative.

We couldn't go inside the home, seems to have been closed still for Covid19. Bummer, as I expect it would have been...

This location was on our list of historical places we wanted to visit during our trip to Yorktown. We were extremely disappointed to find that the building was closed and there was nobody around to explain the location. Since this location is an NPS site, it should be open.
