Took our scouts for a weekend camping trip. The youth campsites were simple but sufficient; we shared the area with only two other groups. Campsites are flat and without rocks, tree roots, etc. Trails are super accessible, and we were able to get in our five-mile hike (second class requirement) using the Tree Trail, Marsh Trail, and Wildlife Management Trail, starting and ending in camp. The latrine is a latrine... But its accessibility from camp makes it great. Far enough not to make an odor but close enough to be convenient. Gate staff was friendly and helpful. Nature center...

We stayed in the Apple orchard primitive area site 1 in this area it's like stepping back in time vault toilets are nasty there is no lighting what so ever the gravel pads need help they are level but full of grass. On the website it says no showers but you can use the ones in the modern camp ground shower house 3 is the best. The playgrounds are full of weeds and out dated wood play structures my two year old got a splinter from one of them. We where over charged it clearly says $12.00 + .84tax we where charged $12.84 + tax and charged an entrance fee on top of camping not...

WOW, My husband and I are riding our bikes across the United States and stayed at Lost Bridges state rec area on July 29th 2020. we are so impressed with the customer service, the beautiful park and lake, they had someone at the gate 24 hours A-day and the interpretive center is amazing. The views were excellent. Nice spacious grass areas. My only concern was the drop off at the edge of the park on multiple sides. We had markers so our individuals and staff could not go past those markers. There is a Pavillion there with electric outlets and picnic tables.

I love this place! Nature at it's finest! Plenty to do and see. Camping, fishing, swimming, public grills, pavilloins etc. Excellent family outing place. Don't forget to stop at the marina and buy some popcorn and feed the carp right off the deck/pier!
