September is beautiful time of the year to do walk around this lake. The lake path is 3.2 miles around in distance when measured through phone app. The lake has some good eating options like Gingerbread, Cumberland and Honey Dew coffee shops in the north corner . It has 2 major playgrounds one in upper common and other in lower common areas. I saw kayaks and boat on the lake too. I would say this is not great place to do fishing adventures , because it’s very noisy in peak hours. But then I have seen people fishing in such busy time too. Sunrise photos -

On summer weekends it's so nice to be a local and have the ability to grab a coffee at the nearby Honey Dew and to enjoy it while taking in the beautiful views of the lake! The lake is a little over 3 miles around and is a very nice area to walk (sidewalks the whole way around). The greens by the church are well maintained and in that area they have kayaks and wind sails you can rent to explore the waters. If you're in the area, it's a very beautiful setting and area to visit.

My favorite spot in the world. I've gone here my whole life and it's so peaceful. The walk around is about 3 miles which is perfect, you'll find many fellow walkers. I love the morning walks and it's very safe at night too.

Beautiful lake with awesome foliage scene now. Flat route perfect for a run, fyi one loop around the lake is 5k

Description
Lake Quannapowitt is a lake in Wakefield, Massachusetts. It is one of the two large lakes in Wakefield, the other being the man-made Crystal Lake. The lake is named for Quonopohit, the Naumkeag Native American man who signed a deed to the town that would become Wakefield in 1686.
