Beneath a quilt of emerald leaves, Where quiet sun through branches weaves, There lies a path, both kind and true— Warrenville Grove, in morning dew.
We walk our dogs through gentle turns, Where river hums and daylight burns Just soft enough to let us stay In shaded joy the length of day.
The dogs dip paws where waters glide, Their noses high, their tails wide. The current chatters, smooth and clear— A lullaby for those who hear.
And oh—the well! That treasured thrill, To pump cool water, drink our fill. A memory drawn from childhood past, Returned again, so sweet, so fast.
The trail winds on for bike and feet, Its leafy hush a calm retreat. The world, so loud, just fades away, And time itself forgets the day.
Some cast their lines and fish in grace, Each ripple mirrors nature’s face. No need for words, no need to strive— The Grove reminds us we’re alive.
A forest’s heart, a quiet cove, A place to rest, to roam, to love. Forever may its branches rise, A little piece...

See you there, every other weekend mornings. One negative detail: They have recently started charging either a daily fee, or a yearly Permit. Still worth it. But, I liked the "Free"...
Read moreThis place is beautiful. Very well taken care of- you always see those white and green trucks parked in the entrance. There are A LOT of plants here!! As a horticulturist, I find this very important! Im always really happy and impressed by the scenery on my walks throughout this area. My dog loves it! There are always bikes and plenty of people, but it never feels busy and over crowded. There is a huge river that runs through it and a big bridge that locals are often fishing over. The woods are secluded enough and quiet but let out on main streets such as Butterfield and Warrenville. I love coming here and try to do it as often...
